Robert Covert, Alan Gendelman and Mason "Uncle Ron" Hinkle had all got their chips in the middle before the flop and Hinkle was at risk for 1,230,000 while Covert was at risk for roughly 1,800,000.

With close to 5,000,000 chips in the middle the board read 
and Luis Pauyac-Martinez had all of his chips across the line for a bet of 2,030,000.
John Perry was deep in the tank and after some time passed the clock was called. The floor gave him a count down and his hand was declared dead as he didn't act. Pauyac-Martinez instantly showed 
for a pair of fours as he dragged the massive pot.
"You're a wild man!" said Perry. "That's a sick bluff."

A player under the gun opened to 300,000 and was called by the cutoff. Alexander Burton moved all in for 1,400,000 from the button only to see Chris Moorman re-jam out of the small blind. Both the under the gun and cutoff players folded and Burton was at risk.

It was a classic race until the 
flop put Moorman into the lead. Burton did have a flush draw but unfortunately for him the turn and 
river failed to improve his hand, sending him to the rail just shy of the final three tables. Moorman, meanwhile, has opened up a large gap at the top of the chip counts.

Phong Nguyen opened to 555,000 from the cutoff and action folded to Chris Moorman in the big blind who, after asking how much his opponent had behind, made the call.
Action checked through the 
flop to the turn where again both players checked. On the 
river Moorman checked for a third time and, after brief consideration, Nguyen checked back and showed down 
, good enough to take down the pot.
