Day 1 of Event #3: $2,500 Freezeout No-Limit Hold'em saw a total of 752 entries, generating a prize pool of $1,673,000. Last year's winner was Carlos Chang, who took home $364,589 and the coveted bracelet, besting a field of 896 players.

This year's event may be smaller, but the field is brimming with dozens of notable contenders, all after the first place prize of $320,059 and the bracelet poker players all dream about. Some of the deepest stacks hoping to hold that precious hardware include David Benyamine (520,000), Shannon Shorr (670,000), Scott Seiver (340,000) and the chip leader Jesse Kertland (941,000).

Day 2 will start today at noon with everyone guaranteed at least $4,027, and they'll play until only nine remain, all hoping to sit down at the final table.

Stay tuned for continued coverage of this event and the entire WSOP series, brought to you by PokerNews.
