Wong Next to Fall

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 12,000 ante

Action folded to Timothy Wong in the cutoff and he raised all in for his last 135,000.

"I'm all in too," small blind Yosif Nawabi announced as the big blind got out of the way.

Both players stood pat, and Nawabi's nine-eight beat Wong's ten-nine to send him to the payout desk.

Schwartz Doubles With Deuces

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 12,000 ante
Jake Schwartz
Jake Schwartz

Mike Lang raised to 20,000 under the gun and was jammed on by Jake Schwartz for 112,000. Lang made the call and each player took one card, drawing to monsters.

Lang held {7-}{6-}{5-}{2-}{x-}, while last year's runner-up in this event held {7-}{4-}{3-}{2-}{x-}

"You first, Mike", said Schwartz.

Lang then turned up a {6-}, pairing his six, and virtually locking the hand for Schwartz, barring a seven. He then rolled over another deuce, making a smaller pair which ended up being the winner.

Scott Gets Paid Off in Monster Pot

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 12,000 ante

A massive pile of chips was already in the middle as Adam Kipnis and Drew Scott went heads-up after the draw. Scott slid forward a tower of red 5,000 chips for a bet of 100,000.

That sent Kipnis into the tank for several minutes as he pondered the decision for most of his remaining stack. He eventually decided to call as Scott showed {7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-} to win the pot and claim the enormous pot.

Livingston Snaps Off Nawabi

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 12,000 ante

Alex Livingston drew one on the first draw in a pot against Yosif Nawabi and action was on him.

"I'm probably going to move in," Nawabi told him before Livingston checked. Sure enough, Nawabi then went all in and Livingston snap-called for his last 46,000.

"Ten," Nawabi announced, but Livingston had made an eight-seven to double up and continue his quest for a second bracelet in the 2022 WSOP.

"I suck at this game," Nawabi joked after the hand.

Kupin Can't Run Up His Crumbs

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 12,000 ante

Aaron Kupin threw in his last 2,000 chips from under the gun. Next to act, Richard Bai raised to 22,000 and Michael McKenna called.

Kupin drew three while both Bai and McKenna took one. Bai checked, then called when McKenna threw out 20,000.

"Jack," McKenna said.

"Ten," Bai countered.

"I have seven-six-five-deuce," Kupin said, but his last card turned out to be a king and he was eliminated.

End of Play Rescheduled

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 12,000 ante

Originally the plan for Day 2 was to play down to five players, but with a record-setting field of 437 players, it's unlikely for that to happen tonight.

Therefore tournament staff has just announced that ten levels will be played tonight, with play ending after Level 20.

Kassela Says Goodbye

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 12,000 ante

Adam Pritchett raised to 20,000 before Frank Kassela moved all in for his last 110,000.

Pritchett paused for a moment before sliding in the chips to put Kassela at risk, and they both stood pat.

Kassela had a ten-nine, but Pritchett showed a ten-eight to knock out the three-time bracelet winner.

"Bye guys," Kassela yelled as he made his way to the payout desk.
