Lauck Rivers a Flush to Knockout Opponent

Nível 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

The heads-up action was picked up after the turn, with about 6,500 in the pot and a board of {10-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}.

The button moved all in with the effective stack of 9,900. Jonas Lauck made the call from the button.

Opponent: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Lauck: {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

With Lauck behind, he needed some help on the river. That help arrived in the form of the {5-Hearts}, giving Lauck the nut flush to bust his opponents kings, sending his opponent to the rail.

Leonard Takes One From Schulman

Nível 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

Action folded around to Patrick Leonard in the small blind who raised to 3,400 and Nick Schulman called out of the big blind.

On the {5-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop Leonard led out for 1,700. Schulman was not prepared to let go of his hand just yet and smooth-called.

The {3-Hearts} turn was checked through and on the board-pairing {4-Hearts} river, Leonard checked for a second time. Schulman checked back and was shown {7-Clubs}{6-Spades} by Leonard for the turned straight, sending the pot Leonard's way and dropping Schulman below starting stack.

Matakis Gets Seiver Off Pot with River Bet

Nível 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

Scott Seiver opened the action to 1,100, getting a call from Ian Matakis in the hijack as well as the big blind.

On the {j-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop, Matakis led out for 1,300. The big blind got out of the way before Seiver made the call.

Matakis continued for 5,000 on the {3-Clubs} turn, which Seiver called after a moment or two of thought.

On the {a-Diamonds} river, Matakis tanked for a couple of minutes before moving all in. Seiver quickly folded, awarding the pot to Matakis.

Hallaert Loses Three-Bet Pot

Nível 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

A player raised to 1,300 from under the gun and was met by a three-bet to 4,200 by Kenny Hallaert one seat over. Action folded back around and the original raiser made the call to send the two players to the flop.

On a flop of {6-Clubs}{q-Spades}{6-Spades} action was checked to Hallaert, who led out for 2,700. His opponent flatted.

Both players checked on the {2-Clubs} turn and action was once again checked to Hallaert on the {j-Hearts} river. Hallaert thought long and hard about his decision but eventually checked back. The under the gun player turned over {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, which was good enough to take down the pot. Hallaert, meanwhile, appeared frustrated that he had not pulled the trigger.

Chang Doubles Up with Trips

Nível 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Action was picked up on the river. With about 10,000 already in the middle, the board had been dealt {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}.

The small blind fired for 3,500 before Tim Chang, in the cutoff, moved all in with the effective stack of 12,600. His opponent thought for a bit, before finally making the call. Chang turned over {5-Spades}{7-Spades}, good for trips on the flop. His opponent tossed his hand in the muck, giving the pot to Chang.

Berkowitz Ousts Riess

Nível 3 : 200/400, 400 ante
Ryan Riess
Ryan Riess

The 2013 WSOP Main Event champion Ryan Riess was short stacked and shoved his remaining 3,500 into the middle from under the gun. Connor Berkowitz one seat over re-jammed for 9,700 and was called by the player to his left, who had both Riess and Berkowitz covered. The remaining players at the table got out of the way.

Ryan Riess: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Connor Berkowitz: {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Early Position Player: {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

"Do you want the chicken power?" asked Frank Stepuchin, who was also at the table, of Riess. The offer was politely declined prior to the {k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop. The {2-Hearts} turn kept the pocket sevens ahead but Berkowtiz nailed the {10-Clubs} river, giving him an almost full triple-up and knocking out Riess.
