Liu Takes One

The player under the gun raised and it was called by the cutoff, Joanne ‘JJ’ Liu in the small blind and the big blind.

The dealer showed a flop {8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and Liu led out with a bet, only called by the under the gun. On the {q-Hearts} turn, Liu bet once more and her opponent called.

The {a-Spades} fell on the river and Liu sent a last bet in the middle. Thus time, her opponent folded.

Lichtie Takes it Down with Two Pair

Mark Bassaly opened from the button for 800. He got calls from Mike Lichtie in the small blind, as well as the big big blind.

The three way action was checked back to Bassaly after the {j-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop. He fired for 400, getting a call from Lichtie before the big blind moved out of the way.

The {7-Diamonds} turn was checked by both players, as Bassaly inquired "Are you diamond hunting? Tell me now," as they did so.

Bassaly fired a big bet at the {5-Diamonds} river, Upon Lichtie's call, Bassaly told him "You win sir. King high. I don't even have a diamond," as Lichtie turned over {6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, giving him two pair and the pot.

Lancaster Takes it Down with Top Pair

Action folded to the small blind who put in a big bet of 800. Michael Lancaster, the big blind, raised to 1,200, earning a call.

Lancaster fired a small bet at the {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{a-Clubs} flop, getting another call. On the {10-Spades} turn, Lancaster fired a big bet, again getting called.

On the {2-Spades} river, Lancaster fired in one final big bet, before his opponent once again made the call.

Lancaster turned over {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}, giving him top pair, good enough to scoop the pot as his opponent tossed his hand in the muck.

Four-Way Pot for Hoang

In a four-way raised pot, the flop read {2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Spades} when Frank Athey, the player under the gun and Justin Thurlow checked to John Hoang on the button who sent a bet. His three opponents called.

The {k-Diamonds} landed on the turn and Athey led out with a bet. The under the gun called and Thurlow raised, called by Hoang, Atley and the fourth player.

The {3-Clubs} completed the board on the river and and it was checked to Thurlow who made a bet. Hoang raised and only Thurlow decided to call. Hoang revealed {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for top pair and Thurlow sent his cards into the muck.

Kings for Carey

In a re-raised pot, the flop was {3-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs} when the player in the big blind check-called Jon Carey.

The same action happened on the {6-Hearts} turn and the {10-Spades} river. Carey tabled {k-Hearts}{k-Spades} and his opponent quickly mucked his hand.

Mehmood Hits Backdoor Flush

A big bet of 800 came from under the gun. The hijack called before the button raised to 1,200, receiving calls from four players, including Omar Mehmood in the big blind.

The five way action was checked through on the {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop, leading to the {6-Clubs} on the turn. Mehmood led for 800. The hijack made the call while the rest of the table got out of the way.

Mehmood fired another big bet at the {k-Clubs} river, earning one final call from the hijack. Mehmood turned over {8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, good for the flush. His opponent mucked his hand upon seeing this, giving Mehmood the pot.

Stevanovski's Kings Hold Up

Robert Stevanovski was in the cutoff position heads-up against the small blind. There was 1,200 in the pot and the flop was {8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, small blind check-called Stevanovski's bet.

An {8-Diamonds} came on the turn and small blind once again check-called Stevanovski.

On the river was a {2-Diamonds} and the small blind bet, Stevanovski called and they showed their hands. Stevanovski showed {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for two pair, kings and eights. The small blind showed {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, which missed the gutshot straight draw and flush draw that he had on the flop.

Four players saw the {6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop after each contributing 600 to the pot. Postflop, Mike Lichtie opened the action to 300 from the big blind, earning a call from all four players.

Lichtie fired a big bet of 600 at the {4-Diamonds} turn. He earned calls from the under-the-gun player and the button, as the small blind folded.

Lichtie fired another big bet at the {7-Hearts} river. This time, that was enough to take the pot, as both opponents folded, giving Lichtie the pot without a showdown.
