With approximately 50,000 in the pot on sixth street, Michel Pereira bet and was called by Matt Grapenthien. Chris Johnson then raised and both his opponents called.
On seventh street, Pereira and Grapenthien checked and Johnson bet again. Pereira opted to fold, while Grapenthien gave it some thought, then flicked in a calling chip.
Johnson showed him his two spades in the hole for a queen-high flush and Grapenthien had to muck his hand.

Action was on sixth street with Scott Bohlman already all in. Ernildo Santos check-called two bets from Cliff Josephy on sixth and seventh street.
Josephy indicated that he had nothing as he did not immediately flip his hand over but since it was an all in, the dealer turned over the for ace-high while Santos had the winner with a pair of nines. Bohlman could not beat the nines either and he was eliminated.

Picking up action on fourth street, David Lieberman led out with the betting lead and was called by John Monnette.
On fifth street after pairing his queen, Monnette bet and was called by Lieberman.
Sixth street however then paired Lieberman's king and he bet out with the better pair showing.
Monnette folded his hand saying he just had a pair of sevens in the hole.

Action was picked up on fifth street where it appeared as though David Singer had three-bet to 16,000 as Shane Douglas called 16,000. Douglas led with a bet of sixth and seventh streets and was called twice.
