Dancer Waltzes his Way Past 200,000-Chip Mark

Nível 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Allan Dancer opened to 6,000 and was called by the hijack. The big blind then moved all-in for his last 57,000 chips and Dancer called. The hijack folded and the remaining duo turned their cards over.

Big Blind: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Allan Dancer: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Dancer was behind but smashed the {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{j-Hearts} flop. The {10-Spades} turn made chop outs available but the {10-Hearts} river gave Dancer the pot and eliminated the big blind in the first hour of Day 2.

Katz Makes the Right Call

Nível 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Cary Katz was in position in a heads-up pot against Dae Woong Song on a board reading {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{a-Clubs}{9-Hearts} with around 15,000 in the middle.

Song led out with a bet of 6,500 and Katz raised to 25,000. Song then three-bet jammed a stack of about 165,000 and Katz entered the tank as he considered calling off for his final 60,000.

"I have a good hand," Katz offered. "You got eights? Ace-nine?"

Katz eventually tossed in a reluctant called. Song nodded in defeat and turned over {a-Spades}{4-Spades} for a weak ace and a missed flush draw, while Katz emphatically tabled {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for trips to win the pot and double up.

Thivyanathan's King Hits for Double Up

Nível 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Action landed on Aaron Thivyanathan, who moved all in from late position. Action folded around back to the under-the-gun player, who made the call. Thivyanathan had the effective stack of 39,000.

Aaron Thivyanathan: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Opponent: {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

Thivyanathan connected with the {4-Spades}{k-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop, giving him a pair of kings and leaving his opponent drawing thin. The board finished out {7-Hearts}{j-Clubs}, leaving Thivyanathan's pair of kings as the best hand, giving him the pot and double up.

Benton Delivers Cowen Knockout

Nível 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

In the first few hands of Day 2, Will Benton and WSOP bracelet winner Robert Cowen got involved in a juicy heads up all-in situation.

Robert Cowen: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Will Benton: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{q-Spades} to ship Cowen's remaining 140,000 chips to Benton, who surged ahead to the 400,000-chip mark.

Cowen, who won the 2021 $3,000 Pot Limit Omaha event, shrugged and said he should have arrived 10 minutes late.
