Assorted Counts in the Field

Nível 8 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Stein Scores a Double

Nível 8 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

The cards of Chris Brewer were already in the muck and he paid a full double to table neighbour Sam Stein, who doubled his tally of 128,700. Stein's cards were still exposed and the {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} turned out to be good enough for the scoop on a board of {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

Showdown Pot for Galfond

Nível 8 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Three ways to a flop of {k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, Ian Bradley in the big blind and Phil Galfond in the cutoff both opted to check. Anthony Zinno on the button made it 6,000 to go and was called only by Galfond. There was no further action on the {5-Spades} turn and {k-Spades} river as Galfond rolled over the {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}.

That was good enough to win the pot as Zinno sent his cards into the muck.

Winter Chips Up in Multi-Way Action

Nível 7 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Sean Winter made it 4,500 to go before the flop and earned two callers including Michael Rocco as the trio headed to the {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop. The continuation bet of Winter was worth 6,200 and two calls followed. No further action came thereafter as the {k-Hearts} turn and {2-Diamonds} river were checked.

Rocco announced two pair but never showed them as Winter had the winner with {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs} for a straight.

Lamb Gets a Tank-Fold

Nível 7 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Ben Lamb
Ben Lamb

Ben Lamb was out of position in a heads-up pot against Aleksey Filatov on a board reading {3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} with around 25,000 in the middle.

Lamb led out with a river bet of 13,500 and sent Filatov into a deep tank that lasted three to four minutes, with Lamb's eyes never leaving his thinking opponent.

Adding tension to the situation, Stephen Chidwick sat a few seats over with his eyes glued on Filatov.

Someone at the table called the clock and Filatov instantly folded. Lamb let him flip over two of his cards, an agreement that revealed {q-Spades}{9-Spades} for a miss.

"Look at that piece of shit!" table mate Nicholas Julia said about the revealed hand.

But Lamb then flipped over the {k-Diamonds} to show that he may in fact have had something.

"There it is!" Julia amended.

Lonis Leaves Yankov on Fumes

Nível 7 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Jesse Lonis
Jesse Lonis

With 4,200 invested before the flop between Jesse Lonis and Krasimir Yankov on the button, the {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop was checked and Lonis then bet the {a-Clubs} turn for 7,200 and the {6-Spades} river for 13,600. Yankov called both times but couldn't beat the {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{5-Clubs} of Lonis.

Ausmus Increases Stack Without Showdown

Nível 7 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Among the entries just prior and after the dinner break were Cliff Josephy and Jens Lakemeier with one of them being up and the other down.

On their table, a larger heads-up pot emerged in a battle big blind versus button with Jeremy Ausmus involved in the action. They went all the way to the {8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} river on which Ausmus jammed for exactly 80,000. In the pot were 85,800 by then and his opponent tanked for more than two minutes before tossing the cards into the muck.

Drinan Leads the Way; Schwartz Chips Up

Nível 7 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Five ways to the {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop, the action was checked all around with two short stacks involved including Artem Maksimov and Krasimir Yankov. There was no betting action on the {3-Diamonds} turn and {4-Hearts} either and it was Noah Schwartz who had the winning hand with {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, while Jesse Lonis flashed an {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts} combo.

The same table also features Connor Drinan, who has even more chips than Lonis at his disposal and appears to be the current chip leader.

Pärssinen Pays Off Martini

Nível 7 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On the {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} turn, Julien Martini and Eelis Pärssinen both invested 4,000 and the {q-Hearts} then fell on the river. Martini bet 7,500 and Pärssinen called but couldn't beat the {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} of Martini.
