Borst's Boat Beats Broadway

Nível 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

The flop of {j-Clubs}{q-Spades}{q-Clubs} was up to Brian Borst in the small blind and he bet 7,000 into Roman Hrabec in the cutoff, who raised it to 18,000. Boranborst called.

The turn was the {a-Hearts}, and Borst checked to Hrabec, who also checked.

Borst bet 18,000 on the river {10-Hearts}, which Hrabec raised all in for another 25,000, and Borst quickly called.

Roman Hrabec: {k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Brian Borst: {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The river made Hrabec a broadway straight, but also gave Borst the full house, and Hrabec was eliminated.

Nível 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Nitis Udornpim

Action was picked up on the completed board of {7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{4-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, and Shannon Shorr was all in for his remaining 35,000 against Nitis Udornpim.

Udornpim called, and was holding {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the flopped straight.

Shorr however, had turned a set and filled up on the river with {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}. After they showed their hands, players from surrounding tables gathered for some of the best table talk from Udornpim.

"You're so good at poker!", exclaimed Udornpim. "It's so miserable! He always beats me, it's always Shannon!"

Both Udornpim and Shorr were laughing, as were many other players.

"Life's not real...", said Udornpim. "Nice hand, Shannon".

D'Ambrosio Late Registers, Runs It Up Instantly

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Jimmy D'Ambrosio
Jimmy D'Ambrosio

Jimmy D'Ambrosio beckoned PokerNews over to his table.

"I just bought in but I might be all in this hand," said D'Ambrosio as he raised to 16,000.

Richard Kirsch then made it 125,000 to go and D'Ambrosio called to put himself at risk.

Jimmy D'Ambrosio: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Richard Kirsch: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

"I've got two of those," said D'Ambrosio, referring to Kirsch's holding.

The {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{7-Spades}{a-Hearts} runout gave D'Ambrosio aces-full to get him off to a fast start.

Aces For Kim, Kings For Tang

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Chao Tang bet 12,000 from early position and action folded around to Christian Kim on the button, who raised to 40,000.

Tang did not waste any time before raising to 80,000, and Kim grabbed the rest of his chips in one hand to confidently signify he was all in. Tang called, and the pot was 234,000 preflop as both players tabled their hands.

Christian Kim: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Chao Tang: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The flop was {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, giving Kim top set, and Tang would need some help to improve.

After the {9-Diamonds} on the turn, and the {5-Clubs} on the river, Kim scored an early double up.

"There's no way you're getting away from that, right?" Kim asked of Tang as the cards were being washed for the next hand.

Zumout All In With Aces

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Nabil Zumout was all in for 19,000 from under the gun, and Niall Farrell was the only player to look him up from the button.

Nabil Zumout: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Niall Farrell: {7-Spades}{8-Spades}

Farrell didn't seem nervous at all, but Zumout didn't say a word as he watched a flop of {q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

Zumout's top pair was still best, and the {a-Spades} gave him a set, but it gave Farrell more outs.

The river {8-Clubs} would make Farrell two pair, but missing the flush, Zumout's hand was best.
