Madsen Doubles Through Kihara

Nível 20

Badacey

Naoya Kihara raised out of the small blind and then called the all-in of Jeff Madsen in the big blind for 100,000 total.

Both discarded three each to which Kihara said "that's fair". Madsen replied "I scared you?" as the dealer had initially announced two for Madsen.

Kihara then took one while Madsen took one for the second draw. The final draw was patted by Madsen and Kihara took one more card.

Madsen revealed the {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} / {5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and Kihara was drawing with a {6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}. However, he caught the {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and failed to improve, ensuring the full double for Madsen.

Greg Mueller Eliminated in 9th Place ($32,608)

Nível 20
Greg Mueller
Greg Mueller

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo

Within two hands, the stack of Greg Mueller was melted to zero and he exited in ninth place. Below is how it all unfolded.

Greg Mueller: {x-}{x-} / {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} / {x-}
Brian Rast: {x-}{x-} / {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} / {x-}

Brian Rast had the lead and bet it all the way with Mueller calling down. He sighed on fifth street and mentioned "that's a spot to be in, eh" but invested the chips anyways. As he also called sixth, he only had a few chips behind.

Rast already exposed his {a-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for aces and fours before his last card was delivered and Mueller studied his cards before sigh-folding as he was left with fumes.

Those went in the following hand on third street already.

Greg Mueller: {7-Spades}{3-Clubs} / {9-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} / {5-Hearts}
Ben Diebold: {8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} / {5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{6-Clubs} / {4-Hearts}
Brian Rast: {x-}{x-} / {7-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} fold on fourth

Ben Diebold and Rast came along when Mueller was all-in and Diebold then bet fourth to force out Rast. Until sixth, Diebold had a straight and the low locked up. Mueller needed a six or jack to chop but bricked to bow out in 9th place for $32,608.

Jeff Madsen: {x-}{x-}/{k-}{a-}{4-}{k-}/{x-}
Naoya Kihara: {x-}{x-}/{a-}{j-}{j-}{4-}/{x-}

A short-stacked Jeff Madsen bet fouth street and was called by Naoya Kihara.

On fifth, with Kihara pairing, he was torn on whether to continue, with over 100,000 in the pot.

Eventually, he called and after Kihara improved, the rest of Madsen's chips ended up in the middle.

After seventh street was dealt, Kihara's final board read {j-}{9-}{4-}{3-}{a-}, while Madsen could only show {q-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{a-}, as Kihara's jack-low eliminated Madsen.

Rast Takes Chip Lead From Ohel

Nível 20
Brian Rast
Brian Rast

Pot-Limit Omaha

After Randy Ohel raised to 56,000 from under the gun, Brian Rast called on the button and Christopher Claassen called in the big blind.

The players all checked the {4-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop, but on the {2-Diamonds} turn, after Claassen checked, Ohel bet 100,000.

Rast called and Claassen folded, leaving just two to the {6-Clubs} river.

After Ohel checked, Rast cut out a bet of 285,000, which Ohel quickly folded to, passing some of his chips and the chip lead over to the man who was once the shortest stack in the room.

Ohel Regains The Lead

Nível 20

Pot-Limit Omaha

Brian Rast opened to 43,000 in the cutoff and was called by Mike Gorodinsky on the button and Randy Ohel in the big blind. The {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop was checked to Gorodinsky, who bet 85,000. Ohel asked for the size of the pot and then made it 410,000 to go. Rast quickly folded and Gorodinsky came to the same conclusion.

"Awful fold," Gorodinsky sighed and Ben Diebold asked him "pocket tens?" to which Gorodinsky slowly nodded.

One hand later, Diebold from under the gun, Ohel in the small blind and Anatolii Zyrin in the big blind headed to the {q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop on which Ohel and Diebold invested 25,000 each. Ohel bet the {5-Hearts} turn for 65,000 to receive a call and checked the {3-Clubs} river.

"How much is in the pot?" Diebold asked the dealer and received an instant "294,000" back. Diebold then bet 210,000 and Ohel folded but retained the lead.

Rast's Razz Call Backfires

Nível 21

Razz

After an uneventful round of Five Card Draw, Razz was called by Brian Rast and he immediately got mixed up in a big pot with the other biggest stack at the table, Randy Ohel.

Brian Rast: {x-}{x-}/{7-}{8-}{a-}{k-}/{x-}
Randy Ohel: {x-}{x-}/{7-}{3-}{5-}{j-}/{x-}
Christopher Claassen: {x-}{x-}/{6-}{6-} - folded fourth street
Naoya Kihara: {x-}{x-}/{j-}{10-} - folded fourth street

Rast called Naoya Kihara's bring-in, as did Christopher Claassen and Ohel.

On fourth street, Ohel bet his seven-three up and was called only by Rast's seven-eight.

Rast called bets from Ohel on fifth and sixth, then both players checked seventh street.

Ohel rolled over {8-}{6-}{3-} for a final hand of {8-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}, and Rast tossed his cards into the muck.
