Claassen Doubles Through Kihara

Pot-Limit Triple Draw

"Yes, blood, let's go!" Declared Mike Gorodinsky as the newest game of the day was called.

He wouldn't have to wait long to witness some poker blood as Naoya Kihara was the game's victim.

Christopher Claassen raised to 85,000 in the cutoff and was three-bet to a pot-sized 280,000 by Kihara in the small blind.

After a brief tank, Claassen opted to just call, leaving himself a little over 500,000 behind.

Kihara drew one, while Claassen still needed to draw two.

Seeing that he was ahead on the draw, Kihara announced "all-in" blind to put the pressure on Claassen.

Claassen opted to call for his tournament life.

From there, each player took one card on the second draw, then on the final draw after Kihara drew one once again, Claassen went into the tank.

"Jack?" asked Kihara.

"Worse than a jack," said Claassen, who then decided to pat and show {q-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-}.

Kihara showed {7-}{6-}{5-}{2-}, needing any non-pairing card under a queen. Unfortunately for him, he was dealt an {a-}, shipping most of his stack across the table to Claassen, who is now among the chip leaders.
