Holmes Starts the Comeback

Nível 32 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
George Holmes
George Holmes

Arkadi Onikoul raised it up to 625,000 from under the gun and picked up a call from Mitchell Halverson on his left. George Holmes stuck in the last of his 475,000 chips from the hijack and that enticed Sean Ragozzini and Glynn Beebe to come along from the blinds.

The flop fell {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts} and the blinds checked to Onikoul who bet 650,000. The rest of the table folded which allowed Onikoul to collect the side pot and the cards were tabled.

Onikoul showed {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} but Holmes flopped a pair of nines with {9-Spades}{6-Clubs}. The {j-Spades} on the turn and the {6-Hearts} on the river did not allow Onikoul to catch up and Holmes increased his stack to over 2,000,000 chips.

"Let's go George!" his friend on the rail shouted. "It's not time to go home yet. We're not going home 'til this thing is over."

Onikoul Finds a Double Through Kiriopoulos

Nível 32 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Arkadi Onikoul got his last 6,900,000 into the middle and Demosthenes Kiriopoulos was the lone caller.

Arkadi Onikoul: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Demosthenes Kiriopoulos: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and the jacks held off the fives to secure a double for Onikoul.

Philipe Pizzari Pinto Eliminated in 26th Place ($241,800)

Nível 32 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Philipe Pizzari Pinto
Philipe Pizzari Pinto

Brazil's Philipe Pizzari Pinto raised to 650,000 under the gun and Chase Bianchi three-bet to 1.7 million from the hijack. Action folded back to Pinto and he called to see a flop of {3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}.

Pinto checked and Bianchi continued for 1.2 million, which the Brazilian called.

On the {8-Hearts} turn, Pinto led out for 2.5 million and Bianchi responded by raising all in. Pinto called off the 2.38 million he had behind and the hands were tabled.

Philipe Pizzari Pinto: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Chase Bianchi: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

Bianchi was ahead with aces while Pinto was drawing to a heart flush. Unfortunately for him, the {10-Clubs} river was brick and Bianchi's pocket rockets held to score the knockout.

Up and Down for East

Nível 32 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Jareth East opened to 600,000 from under the gun and was called by Mitchell Halverson on the button and Andreas Kniep in the big blind. The flop fell {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and the action checked around to the {8-Clubs} on the turn.

Kniep led out with a bet of 1,450,000 and East called while Halverson got out of the way. The river was the {9-Hearts} and Kniep checked to East who made a large bet of 5,575,000. Kniep went into the tank for nearly five minutes before finally folding. East flashed the {a-Clubs} before his cards went into the muck.

On the next hand, Sean Ragozzini raised to 650,000 in early position and East defended from the big blind. The flop came {5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and East check-called a bet of 450,000 from Ragozzini.

The turn was the {k-Diamonds} and both players checked to see the {4-Clubs} on the river. East led out with a bet of 1,000,000 and Ragozzini quickly looked him up. East showed {5-Spades}{4-Spades} for fives and fours but Ragozzini held {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for tens and deuces.
