Armstrong Flips for His Stack

Nível 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Stephen Song raised it up in middle position and Robert Cowen three-bet to 250,000 on his left. Benjamin Armstrong just called from the big blind and Song four-bet shoved all in. Cowen folded but Armstrong made the call for his tournament life.

Benjamin Armstrong: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Stephen Song: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

It was a classic coin flip and the board ran out {j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts} which sent Armstrong into a frenzy. After counting the chips, Armstrong started the hand with 2,090,000 and has now soared his way near the top of the leaderboard.

Chidwick Busts Severino

Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Stephen Chidwick opened to 60,000 on the button and Jose Severino jammed in his 690,000 stack. Chidwick called to put him at risk.

Jose Severino: {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Stephen Chidwick: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop put Chidwick way ahead and the {9-Clubs} and {10-Diamonds} completed the board to send Severino to the rail.

Bianchi Gets a Free Lap, Doubles Up Dick After

Nível 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

A player called the floor over to Table 464 after the button was accidentally moved to the wrong seat to cause Chase Bianchi to skip the big blind.

The floor ruled that there had been significant action in the hand that was underway and therefore it would have to play out and Bianchi would get to skip his big blind, despite some complaints by players at the table.

The next hand, Andrew Dick open-shoved a stack of around 400,000 and Bianchi called on the button.

Andrew Dick: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Chase Bianchi: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

"Let's see if there's justice," a player at the table said with what sounded like a half-joke.

The board ran out {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades} to give Dick the best hand with a pair of eights and to take some chips away from Bianchi after getting a free pass.

"You guys are good players. Was that a bad shove?" Dick asked the table after the hand.

"No, it's fine," replied Pavlo Veksler.
