Smith Cracks Blumstein's Aces, It Could Have Been Worse

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante
Scott Blumstein
Scott Blumstein

Rex Smith limped from under the gun. The action folded to Scott Blumstein in the cutoff who raised it up to 1,300. It folded back around to Smith and he four-bet to 3,800.

Blumstein opted to just call going to a flop that read {10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Spades}. Smith lead with a bet of 5,500 and Blumstein quickly called.

The action checked through the {k-Clubs} turn.

The {k-Diamonds} came on the river pairing the board. Smith checked and thought that he saw Blumstein check so he tabled his hand which was the {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.

Smith turned his hand back over when he realized that Blumstein had not acted.

Blumstein was tickled by what had happened and said, "I check" as he tabled pocket aces.

Smith took down the pot with trip kings having saved Blumstien from committing more chips to the pot by acting out of turn.

Seiver is hanging onto a healthy stack as the end of Level 2 nears.

Zeevi Rivers Quads to Bust One

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante
Benya Zeevi
Benya Zeevi

A big pot had already developed by the river between Benya Zeevi and a player in the blinds. The board read {q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and Zeevi's opponent bet 10,000.

Zeevi then raised all in, easily covering his opponent's remaining 30,000. His opponent tanked for several minutes, playing with his chips while Zeevi sat with his head resting in his hand.

His opponent eventually splashed in the chips to call and showed {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}, but Zeevi had {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} for quads to send his opponent home.

According to the table, Zeevi had limped pre-flop before calling a raise from his opponent. It was also the second time he's made quads on the river so far today.

"God bless you. I hope you win the tournament," a tablemate said.
