McLaughlin Forces a Fold on the River

Nível 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

In a raised pot, the flop showed {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{j-Spades} when Marc Etienne McLaughlin check-called from the blind a bet from the button and both players checked on the {3-Clubs} turn.

A {8-Diamonds} paired the board on the river and McLaughlin led out for 13,000, putting his opponent into a decision. The latter ended up folding his hand.

Campbell Takes Last Sips of Martini

Julien Martini

With 12,000 in the pot and a flop of {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{2-Hearts}, Robert Campbell was in the small blind and check-called a 3,500 bet from Julien Martini on the button.

The turn brought the {3-Spades} which both players checked. The {5-Hearts} completed the board and after Campbell checked, Martini jammed in his stack of about 28,000. Campbell briefly thought about it and tossed in calling chips.

Martini knew he was no good and turned over {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, while Campbell showed {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} to take the pot, and after a day of sitting next to each other, the 2019 WSOP Player of the Year ultimately sent the French Martini to the rail.

Poker Fan Loses Job, Twitch Streamer Gifts Him WSOP Main Event Package

Ryan Osman
Ryan Osman

Last month, Lukas "RobinPoker" Robinson provided a random act of kindness during a WSOP Main Event satellite at Aspers Casino in London via GGPoker and LADbible. The poker pro, despite taking down the six-player tournament, gifted the trip to Las Vegas to his heads-up opponent, Ryan Osman, who had recently lost his job.

Today, Osman is trying to make the most of the gift as he is in action here on Day 1d.

Last month, LADbible hosted a OnlyHands Community Facebook group meet-up live event where four qualifiers would compete against Robinson and UFC star Paddy Pimblett. The winner would receive a travel package to Las Vegas next month and a seat in the WSOP Main Event, which begins November 4 at the Rio courtesy of GGPoker.

Robinson and Osman ended up heads-up for the trip, which is valued at $15,000 (travel expenses plus the $10,000 seat). The poker pro won the tournament and was all set to collect the victory prize. But then he decided to instead gift it to his opponent, who had fallen on some hard times.

Weisner Wins Four-Bet Pot

Nível 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

Facing a raise to 1,000, Melanie Weisner opted for a three-bet to 4,500 in the big blind and was then four-bet to 17,300. Weisner was deep in the tank and checked out the stack of her opponent before flat-calling. After the enticing preflop action, it was then checked down all the way on the {8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} board. Weisner tabled the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and it was good enough to rake in the pot.

Gity's Top Pair Upped by Hallet

Nível 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

On a flop of {k-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, Daniel Hallet checked to Tom Gity, who bet 4,100. Hallet called.

The turn brought the {3-Clubs}, and again Hallet checked to Gity, who fired for 11,100. Hallet then check-raised all in for 32,600, and Gity quickly called.

Daniel Hallet: {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Tom Gity: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

The {5-Spades} couldn't save Gity, who doubled up Hallet, and dropped his stack to just over 20 big blinds.
