With nearly 5,000 in the pot and on the board, Jason Koon was in the small blind and Asi Moshe was a few seats over in middle position.

The river was and Koon fired 4,000. Moshe called and Koon tabled for jacks full of kings. Moshe mucked the losing hand, but both players are building stacks at the same table in the early stages of Day 1A.

Liu Spikes the River

One hand after Eliran Yamin avoided disaster against a pair of tens, he was facing a bet from JJ Liu on the flop. Yamin raised Liu's bet of 6,700 to 15,000 and called instantly when Liu re-raised all-in.

Yamin was way ahead with a flopped full house, and the turn changed nothing. The table then reacted in awe as the river gave Liu the winning hand, doubling her stack.

Alcorn Eliminated in Four-Way All-In

Heather Alcorn had lost the vast majority of her stack when she flopped a set of kings and ran into a set of aces. She then shoved for very few chips and was called multiple ways. Three players stuck around to the turn and that's when a four-way all-in showdown emerged.

Mase was the biggest stack but Heiskanen had a lock on the entire pot with the turned nut straight and flush redraw. A meaningless river knocked out two players while Mase was left short.

Mase then got it in for 6,800 and Heiskanen called.

Mase asked for a ten and got his wish granted on the board to double his short stack.

Just before the break, with about 6,000 in the pot and a board of , a player in the cutoff had bet 6,600. Giuseppe Iadisernia was in the small blind and jammed in his stack of 41,900. The cutoff player asked for a count and called.

Iadisernia found the perfect river card as it gave him a boat and his opponent a flush, and led to his double-up.

Marder Flops Better Flush

On a flop, a player in early position bet 3,200 and Michael Marder called on the button.

The turn saw a 9,000 bet from the early position player and another call by Marder.

On the river, the early position player bet 30,000 to leave himself with 26,000 behind. Marder thought about it for a little.

"The nuts?" he asked.

Marder ended up making the call. His opponent turned over while Marder showed for the better flush.

"I wasn't slow rolling you, I promise," Marder said. "I thought you had a very strong hand. I knew you weren't bluffing."

Lim Takes Down Three-Way All-In; Leaves Enselme Short

On the turn of , Arnaud Enselme fired in a bet of 23,000 into the pot of just over 16,000. Dragana Lim was next to act and shipped her stack of 61,800 into the middle. Eprem Fodolyan called off his stack of 53,300 before Enselme tank-called.

Liptow Pays One Off, Still Rolling

Begleiter Looking for Another Deep Run

Former November Nine finalist Steven Begleiter is looking for another deep run in the Main Event after taking sixth place in 2009.

A player in middle position raised to 1,000 and Begleiter three-bet to 3,200 from the button. The player in middle position called and the flop came .

The middle position player checked and called Begleiter's bet for 3,500.

Both players checked the turn and river. Begleiter turned over for queens and fives as his opponent mucked the losing hand.

On a flop of , a player jammed in the rest of his stack, and Justin Lunin-Pack called.

Both players got a good piece of the flop, but it was Lunin-Pack ahead with the set against his at-risk opponent's pair and flush draw.

The turn hit the felt to put his opponent ahead with a flush, but the spiked the river to change the lead once again and give Lunin-Pack quads to knock out his opponent in spectacular fashion. Less than two hours prior, Lunin-Pack rivered quad deuces.

"Just call him Mr. Quads," one player at the table remarked.
