Cates Gets Face Pressed As He Presses Hendrix to Fold

Nível 18 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Dan Cates
Dan Cates

Right before the break, Dan Cates was in a three-way pot against Shaun Deeb and Adam Hendrix on a flop of {2-Spades}{7-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}.

Cates stared at the board stoically as a masseuse rubbed his forehead, temples and cheek bones before throwing out a bet of 25,000. Deeb folded and Hendrix called.

Cates checked on the {10-Spades} turn and Hendrix checked back. Cates, still getting his face handled by the masseuse, took a few seconds before betting 125,000. Hendrix folded.

This deal sees coverage of the WSOP Main Event return to its original broadcast partner after featuring on CBS Sports Spectacular in the mid-1970s.

All 16 episodes will be televised following the conclusion of the tournament.

PokerGO will provide live streaming duties of the World Championship event starting on Day 1A (November 4) until the end on November 17, except Day 1B (November 5).

Away from the Main Event, there will be additional coverage of more than two dozen tournaments thru November 23, 2021. They include the $50,000 Poker Players Championship and the $250,000 Super High Roller.

Here's a look at the remaining PokerGO live-stream schedule:

Ausmus' Kings Are Good

Nível 19 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Heads-up on the turn with the board showing {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{a-Clubs}, Jeremy Ausmus checked over to Alexander Petersen who bet 225,000. Ausmus' 30-second clock almost ran out before he put in the chips to call.

The river came the {3-Diamonds} and Ausmus checked again. This time Petersen checked behind, and Ausmus showed {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for a pair of kings. Petersen mucked his hand.

Hendrix Spikes a Set to Stay Alive

Nível 19 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Adam Hendrix
Adam Hendrix

Henrik Hecklen limped in from middle position and Adam Hendrix raised in the big blind. Hecklen then announced a pot-sized raise and Hendrix moved all-in with around 275,000.

Adam Hendrix: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Henrik Hecklen: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

Hendrix's queens were dominated by the kings Hecklen, though Hendrix picked up outs when he paired his eight on the {a-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop.

Hendrix pushed his six toward the board in an effort to summon a six, but it didn't come on the {2-Hearts} turn. However, the river brought the {q-Spades} to improve Hendrix to a set and he doubled up to stay alive.

Negreanu Checks It Down and Wins, Moves Past Two Million

Nível 19 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu was in the small blind and facing a bet of 60,000 from Alexander Petersen on a flop of {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. Negreanu called to see the {2-Clubs} turn and checked again.

Petersen checked behind and the {3-Hearts} fell on the river. Both players checked yet again.

"Ace-queen," Negreanu announced, turning over {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. Petersen mucked his hand as Negreanu raked in a pot that put him above the 2,000,000 chip mark.

Arieh Thinks Long, Thinks Wrong

Nível 19 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Josh Arieh and Alexander Petersen went heads-up to the river on a board of {6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. Petersen had a bet of 505,000 in front of him, which represented a significant portion of Arieh's remaining stack, and Arieh was in the tank.

Arieh used two time bank chips and went past a minute before calling. "Nuts," Petersen said as he delivered Arieh the bad news, turning over {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} for the rivered flush.

Hendrix Eliminated by Bujtas

Nível 19 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Adam Hendrix
Adam Hendrix

Adam Hendrix had just doubled when he got all of his chips in the middle once again, this time in a hand against chip leader Laszlo Bujtas on a board of {8-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

Adam Hendrix: {k-}{k-}{6-}{5-}
Laszlo Bujtas: {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Hendrix had kings while Bujtas had plenty of equity with a pair and wrap draw. The {5-Spades} on the turn didn't change things but the {q-Diamonds} on the river gave Bujtas the straight to bust Hendrix.

"This guy hasn't seen a flop he doesn't fall in love with," remarked table mate Jared Bleznick.
