Mateos Fires Three Barrels

Nível 11 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Adrian Mateos raised it up from middle position and was called by Chance Kornuth and Carlos Chadha in the blinds. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and the action checked to Mateos who continued for 30,000. Kornuth folded but Chadha stuck around to see the {a-Clubs} on the turn.

Chadha checked to Mateos who fired another bet of 125,000 this time. Chadha still called and the {5-Clubs} completed the board. Chadha checked for the third time and Mateos unloaded the clip, shoving all in for 341,000. Chadha wasted little time before mucking his cards and Mateos collected the pot.

At another table, start-of-day chipleader Jake Daniels was in a battle with Mustapha Kanit. Daniels ended up on the losing side of a massive pot as Kanit appears to have taken over the chip lead.

Grafton Doubles to Stay Alive

Nível 11 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

The action folded to Calvin Lee on the button who ripped all in with two shorter stacks in the blinds. Jason Koon folded his small blind but Sam Grafton quickly called off his stack of 199,000 in the big blind.

Sam Grafton: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Calvin Lee: {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Grafton was in a dominating position and the flop of {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} kept him in the lead. The {2-Hearts} on the turn changed nothing and the {q-Hearts} on the river only improved Grafton to a pair of queens for the double up.

Reixach Get a Shove Through Before Break

Nível 10 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

As some players were heading on break, there was a monster pot brewing between Chance Kornuth and Sergi Reixach. With around 360,000 already in the middle, the board read {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. Reixach checked from the big blind and Kornuth counted out a bet of 265,000.

Newey Wheels Vieira to the Rail

Nível 10 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Picking up the action on the turn with Paul Newey and Joao Vieira heads-up in the blinds, the board read {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{a-Spades}. Newey checked from the small blind and Vieira slid out a bet of around 70,000. Newey check-raised all in and Vieira ended up calling off his stack of around 305,000.

Vieira turned over {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for top two pair but Newey turned the wheel with {4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. The river was the {k-Diamonds} and Vieira was eliminated as the field continues to dwindle at a rapid pace.
