"This is how you win tournaments," Dirksen said to Glaser. "You steal all the blinds."

Dirksen drew two and Glaser stood pat.

"Uh oh," Dirksen remarked.

Both players checked and Dirksen showed he held a pair of queens. Glaser showed down {j-}{9-}{8-}{5-}{2-} and scooped the pot.

Katz Finds a Double

Mike Wattel raised to 4,000 from middle position and Cary Katz shoved for 38,500 from the next seat over. The rest of the table got out of the way and Wattel called.

Both players stood pat and Katz turned over the nine-seven to double through Wattel's ten-seven.

Shak Folds His Pair

Dan Shak raised to 6,000 from the hijack and was called by Paul Volpe in the big blind.

Both players drew one and Volpe led out for 11,000.

"I've gotta look," said Shak. "Pair."

Shak then revealed a hand containing a pair of fours and mucked — conceding the pot to Volpe.

Riess Getting Short

Nível 8 : 800/1,600, 2,400 ante

Ryan Riess opened to 4,000 from the lojack and was three-bet by Yuri Dzivielevski in the cutoff. Action folded back around to Riess, who called.

Riess drew one and Dzivielevski stood pat.

Riess checked and Dzivielevski bet enough to put Riess all in for his last 18,000. Riess folded and Dzivielevski scooped the pot.

Soverel Nearly Doubles

Todd Ivens opened to 3,500 under-the-gun and was called by Dustin Dirksen in the cutoff and Sam Soverel in the small blind.

Soverel drew two, Ivens stood pat and Dirksen drew one.

Action checked to Ivens, who bet, 7,500. Dirksen folded, but Soverel then check-raised to 50,000 — leaving himself just a couple thousand behind.

Ivens called and Soverel tabled {8-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-}. It was good and Soverel scooped the pot.
