Ashly Butler Eliminated in 8th Place ($71,242)

Nível 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Ashly Butler
Ashly Butler

In a three-way limped pot to the {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, Jeremy Ausmus checked in the small blind and Ashly Butler jammed for 190,000 in the big blind. Eli Elezra on the button called and Ausmus quickly folded.

Ashly Butler: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Eli Elezra: {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}

Elezra was hoping for a four while Butler didn't want to see any more club. The {2-Spades} turn was a blank but the {k-Diamonds} river gave Elezra the superior hand. Butler vaulted out of his seat in disgust, went over to see some friends on the rail before wishing all opponents good luck. He takes home $71,242 for his 8th place finish.

Morris Doubles Through Butler

Nível 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Ashly Butler raised to 150,000 in early position, Arthur Morris called directly behind him, Eli Elezra called in the small blind, and Jeremy Ausmus called in the big blind, creating a 600,000 chip pot before a flop had even been dealt.

That flop came {j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}, and action checked to Morris who moved all-in for 540,000. Elezra and Ausmus folded, but Ashly quickly called for the majority of his stack.

Arthur Morris: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Ashly Butler: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Morris' two pair of sevens and sixes was ahead of Butler's kings. The {8-Diamonds} brought flush draw outs for Butler, and the river {6-Diamonds} gave him that flush, but also filled Morris up, putting Butler on the short stack.

Morris Preserves Short Stack

Nível 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

The first few hands of the new level didn't bring any exciting development and Arthur Morris then raised the pot to 210,000 in the hijack. Tommy Le in the big blind gave it some thought and Morris added "330,000 behind" before Le's fold awarded the blinds and big blind ante to Morris.

As players were leaving the table for a break, Jeremy Ausmus and Arthur Morris were playing one last big pot. Ausmus bet 200,000 on the {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop, only to see Morris raise the pot to 575,000. Ausmus the re-raised for all of his chips, and Morris eventually called the bet total of 2,340,000 to put Ausmus at risk.

Arthur Morris: {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Ausmus was ahead with a set of sevens, and stayed ahead after the {j-Clubs} turn and {3-Clubs} river for a massive double up while leaving Morris short.

Le Gets Some Back

Nível 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Tommy Le raised to 125,000 in early position and found calls from Arthur Morris, Chris Sandrock and Artem Maksimov. All four players checked the {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop before Le led for 300,000 chips on the {8-Hearts} turn. Only Sandrock called to see the {q-Diamonds} river and the action checked through both players. Le showed {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for two pair, and Sandrock slid his cards to the dealer.

Le Loses Some More

Tommy Le has been sliding since the unofficial final table redraw, and another recent pot has seen him drop below three million.

Action picked up on a turn board reading {j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}, with Arthur Morris betting 200,000 into Le, and Le making the call.

On the {j-Diamonds} river, Morris checked to Le, who bet 400,000. Morris called and showed {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades} for a turned full house to take the pot, and take Le off top spot on the leaderboard.

Butler Nearly Doubles Without Showdown

Nível 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Chris Sandrock raised it up to 125,000 and was called three ways by Tommy Le in the cutoff, Jeremy Ausmus in the small blind and Ashly Butler in the big blind. Ausmus was first to check the {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop and Butler bet the pot for 525,000 with a single green T-25,000 chip behind.

Sandrock quickly folded while Le did so after brief consideration. Ausmus also gave it some thought but opted to fold as well.

"Phew. I am glad I completed, was thinking about folding," Butler said with a smile on the face.
