Welcome to Day 1b of Event #43: $1000 Double Stack No-Limit Hold’em of the 2021 World Series of Poker. Day 1b starts today at 10 a.m. local time inside the beautiful Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in sunny Las Vegas, NV.

Yesterday, Day 1a attracted 1,937 entrants with only 506 players progressing to Day 2 on Sunday, October 24th at 10 a.m. local time. Alexander Farahi bagged 742,5000 and it remains to be seen if he will remain the overall chip leader after Day 1b is finished.

In 2019 Joseph Cheong beat a field of 6,214 players, winning his first WSOP gold bracelet and a top prize of $687,782.

All players that enter this flight will receive a starting stack of 40,000 in tournament chips and will play 60-minute blind levels starting at 100-200-200 with one re-entry allowed. Late registration will remain open until the end of level 8 (~8:15 PM). There will be a 20-minute break after every 2 levels with a 75-minute dinner break after level 8 (~7:00 PM). All players that are remaining after level 11 will bag their chips for Day 2 restart on Sunday, October 24th at 10 a.m local time and combine with those players who bagged Day 1a.
