David "Bakes" Baker was down to around 30,000 and got them all in the middle on fifth street against Alex Livingston. Baker turned over {3-}{8-} for 8-6-3-2-A and Livingston, who was dealt a {q-}, was already paying off the bet before seventh street.

Campbell Finishes Engel, Wins Big Off Stephan

Nível 17
Robert Campbell
Robert Campbell

Robert Campbell: {x-}{x-}/{a-}{8-}{6-}{8-}/{x-}
Ari Engel: {x-}{x-}/{3-}{2-}{k-}{9-}/{x-}
Christopher Stephan: {x-}{x-}/{5-}{6-}{7-}{10-}/{x-}

Robert Campbell put in a raise on fifth street and was re-raised by Christopher Stephan. Ari Engel then moved all in and was called by both players.

Campbell bet on sixth street and Stephan called to create a side pot. Both players checked on seventh.

Engel showed {a-}{4-} for 9-4-3-2-A, Stephan had {3-}{8-}{k-} for 8-7-6-5-3, but Campbell turned over {5-}{7-}{q-} for a made 8-7-6-5-A to win the massive pot and eliminate Engel.

A visibly frustrated Stephan was still muttering to himself several minutes later as Campbell stacked his new chips.

Matthaei Scoops 5-way Pot

Nível 16

Todd Dakake had built up his stack early before he and Raymond Matthaei were the last two players standing after betting on sixth and seventh streets forced two players out of a five-way pot. Richard Bai was all in, but didn't need to wait for his final card as we was already drawing dead.

Raymond Matthaei: {q-}{10-}{8-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{a-}
Todd Dakake: {k-}{8-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{2-}{2-}

Dakake showed down his 8-7-6-4-2, but Matthaei turned over his 8-6-5-3-A to scoop a massive pot.

Engel Doubles Up

Nível 16

Ari Engel: {x-}{x-}/{a-}{9-}{10-}{10-}/{x-}
Nicholas Derke: {x-}{x-}/{2-}{4-}{6-}{7-}/{x-}

"I don't know what I'm supposed to do with the best hand," Ari Engel said before moving all in on third street. Nicholas Derke called.

Engel ended up with 10-9-6-3-A, which was enough to win the pot and double through Derke.

"What a luckbox. He runs so hot," Derke said in jest as he handed over the chips.

"He deserves it," said a tablemate.

"No he doesn't," added Robert Campbell.

Grapenthien Takes Two From Livingston

Nível 16

Matt Grapenthien and Alex Livingston battled in back-to-back pots, with Grapenthien taking both.

The first hand got to sixth street, with Grapenthein betting each street before Livingston folded.

Matt Grapenthien: {x-}{x-} / {4-}{7-}{5-}{3-}
Alex Livingston: {x-}{x-} / {10-}{2-}{7-}{k-} - fold on sixth street

The second hand followed a similar pattern, with Grapenthein betting every street and Livingston folding again on sixth. This time, Grapenthein revealed his hole cards to show {5-}{2-} / {4-}{3-}{4-}{a-} for a wheel.
