Case in point, Ali Darroudi, who not long ago was challenging for the chip lead is now among the shorter stacks in the room after losing a pot to Frankie Muzzio.

On a flop, Darroudi check-raised Muzzio's 32,000 chip bet to 85,000, which Muzzio called.

Darroudi continued the pressure on the turn with a bet of 50,000 that Muzzio again called.

Darroudi fired once more on the river for 66,000, which represented about a quarter of Muzzio's remaining stack.

Chip leader Maurice Hawkins asked the dealer for two red aces before a recent hand so he could stack another player.

Whatever the dealer gave him, it was worth raising to 25,000. The only call Hawkins got was from the big blind who left himself only 35,000 behind.
