Welcome to Day 2 of the 2021 WSOP Online $5,000 Main Event on GGPoker

GGPoker WSOP Online

After the completion of 27 starting days, all survivors in the flagship tournament of the 2021 GGPoker WSOP Online Bracelet Events will continue their quest to become the next gold bracelet winner. All flights but the final turbo heat are completed and at least 560 players are in the mix for the lion's share of the guaranteed $20 million prize pool.

Event #27: $5,000 MAIN EVENT Online Championship attracted a field of 4,092 entries for an overlay of $563,000, which the operator recovered with the collected rake. However, prior to the final three flights and extensive qualifiers on the final day, the pinnacle event was facing an overlay of more than $4 million. GGPoker hosted the biggest WSOP satellite in history and guaranteed 100 seats worth $500,000 total for a buy-in of just $108 earlier in the day, which attracted 4,205 entries.

With 4,092 entries in play across all starting days, those returning at 8.30 pm GMT will first aim to reach the top 450 spots, which guarantees a payday of at least $11,104. It will be a long night of poker action to make it all the way as the day concludes once the nine-handed final table has been determined. That locks up a prize of at least $254,308 whereas the winner will walk away with more than $2.5 million.

Leading the pack into penultimate day is Luigi "shadinho94" Shehadeh, who was one of two players with more than 1.5 million in chips. Right behind is Evgenii "moskal" Fidchuk and the overall top 20 in chips ahead of the Last Chance turbo heat also featured such big names as Pablo Brito Silva, David Peters, Michael Addamo, Sebastian Sikorski, and Felipe "LisFlower" Boianovsky.

They will all return with more than 90 big blinds as the action resumes at 5,000-10,000 and a running ante of 1,250. All levels on Day 2 will last 30 minutes each and the action wraps up when nine players remain. Among the GGPoker ambassadors, only Anatoly Filatov and Patrick "Egption" Tardif had locked up a stack for Day 2 but more may follow through the Last Chance turbo heat.

The Day 2 field is filled with plenty of notables, dreams and hopes for the biggest event of the entire festival. Stay tuned right here on PokerNews to find out who makes the money and will have a shot at becoming the international 2021 WSOP Online Main Event champion.
