Ruivo Doubles Through Salas

Nível 39 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Manuel Ruivo
Manuel Ruivo

In the very first hand back from the break, Brunno Botteon folded and Damian Salas eyeballed the stacks of the two shorter stacks behind. He then raised to 5 million on the button and Manuel Ruivo called for 2.925 million out of the small blind.

Manuel Ruivo: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Damian Salas: {9-Spades}{5-Spades}

The {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop meant Ruivo was going to have a sweat for the remaining two community cards. Nothing changed with the {7-Diamonds} turn and the {8-Hearts} river kept Ruivo in contention.

Salas Wins Another Pot Off Ruivo

Nível 38 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Damian Salas raised it up to 850,000 in the small blind and he was called by Manuel Ruivo in the big blind. As they headed to the {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop, both players opted to check. Salas then bet the {9-Diamonds} turn for 425,000 and Ruivo called.

On the {3-Diamonds} river, Salas checked once again and Ruivo bet 1 million with around 3 million behind. Salas opted for a check-raise to 2.55 million and Ruivo tank-folded after several minutes.

Salas Takes From Botteon

Nível 38 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Brunno Botteon limped the small blind and Damian Salas checked his option from the big blind. On a flop of {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{4-Spades}, Botteon checked and Salas checked behind.

The {8-Hearts} turn brought no betting action either and Botteon then bet the {6-Clubs} river for 900,000. Salas gave it some thought and called to get shown {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs} by Botteon, which he had beat with {7-Spades}{5-Clubs} for a straight.

Ruivo Pays off Salas

Nível 38 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

In a limped battle of the blinds, Damian Salas led the {9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop for the minimum and Manuel Ruivo made the call. Salas also bet the {2-Clubs} turn for 1,050,000 to earn another call and Salas then bet the {q-Diamonds} river for 2,000,000.

Ruivo gave it plenty of thought and called to get shown the {10-Spades}{2-Hearts} for trips deuces by Salas, which ended up winning the pot.

Salas raised the button to 600,000 in the next hand and Ruivo three-bet jammed out of the small blind to win some chips back.

Nível 38 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Damian Salas min-raised from under the gun and was called by Brunno Botteon in the big blind. On the {q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop, Botteon check-called for 650,000 and they headed to the {5-Clubs} turn.

Botteon now led for 300,000 and Salas sent his cards into the muck.

Marco Streda Eliminated in 5th Place ($341,879)

Nível 38 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Marco Streda
Marco Streda

The action started with a button raise to 600,000 by Manuel Ruivo and Marco Streda pushed for what appeared to be just shy of nine blinds from one seat over. Ramon Miquel Munoz forfeited the big blind and Ruivo snap-called to roll over his cards immediately.

Marco Streda: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Manuel Ruivo: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

The {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop left Streda on the ropes and he grinned, adding "zero point pero, zero, zero one." It was all over on the {7-Spades} turn and the {4-Spades} river officially ended Streda's run in 5th place for $341,879. He then wished all his opponents good luck before leaving the feature table.

"Pretty good spot," Brunno Botteon said in table chat and Ruivo replied with a "decent," then moved his chips and some of them fell over. "These internet kids, don't even know how to stack chips," the Portuguese pro joked.
