Malinowski Wins $842K Pot Off Addamo in Biggest-Ever Online NLHE Cash Game Hand

Nível 4 : 250/500, 0 ante
Malinowski vs. Addamo
Malinowski vs. Addamo

The action over at the GGPoker network has been heating up over the last month, with the 2020 World Series of Poker Online at the halfway point of their 54 bracelet-offering throughout the summer. However, it's not all tournament poker that's drawing the eyeballs, as some of the highest cash games the online poker hasn't seen since the glory days of Full Tilt Poker are happening over there as well.

In a $500/$1,000 cash game with a $1,000 ante, Wiktor Malinowski — famed under his online moniker "limitless" — and Michael Addamo played the biggest NLHE cash game pot on record. The massive clash happened over at Natural8, part of the GGPoker network, in an invitation-only VIP cash game. Alongside Malinowski, Chris Brewer, Tan "4321" Xuan", and "UnderO", who resides in Malta, completed the line-up.

Negreanu eliminated by Lai

In one of the last hands before the break, Daniel Negreanu limp-raised for the size of the pot to 4,500 out of the small blind and was called by Chee Hoong "83218321" Lai in the big blind. Negreanu bet the {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop for 3,500 into 9,000 and Lai came along to then call a bet of 9,000 on the {3-Hearts} turn as well.

After the {2-Diamonds} river, Negreanu shoved for 20,725 and Lai immediately called.

Negreanu tabled {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{7-Spades} but Lai had improved to the wheel with {k-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}.

Drinan eliminated in three-way all in

In a three-way all-in it was Connor Drinan at risk as the shortest stack while Michael "Minthon" Iakovlev was also covered by Daniel "GTOwannabe" Smiljkovic.

Connor Drinan: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Michael "Minthon" Iakovlev: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Daniel "GTOwannabe" Smiljkovic: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and Iakovlev rivered the nut flush to win the entire pot.

A Double for Higgs

Nível 4 : 250/500, 0 ante

Henrique "Xiboka" Santana looked up Sam "samsam81" Higgs when the latter had turned a set with {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{7-Hearts} while Santana tabled {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs} for a pair, open-ender and nut flush draw by the time the board showed {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. The {9-Diamonds} river paired the board and Higgs escaped from firing a third bullet.

Tafur Approaching Four Starting Stacks

Nível 4 : 250/500, 0 ante

In multi-way action to the {j-Hearts}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} turn, Conrad "CF100" Fourie check-called a bet of 2,640 into 8,000 by Daniel "CASTILIAN" Tafur and hen led the {q-Diamonds} river for 4,382. Craig "Goblue" Varnell raised to 1,200 and picked up two callers in "JKLAUSS" and Niklas Astedt. On a flop of {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, Varnell bet 1,400 and was called by "JKLAUSS" only to then bet 5,400 into 7,000 on the {k-Spades} turn. "JKLAUSS" raised the pot and Varnell called all-in with {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a pair, gutshot and flushdraw.

"JKLAUSS" was ahead with {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and the {4-Diamonds} river sent Varnell straight to the re-entry into the same seat.
