The 13-time WSOP-C ring winner took down pots on consecutive hands to build his stack up to 270,000. On the first hand, the button opened for 3,500, and Hawkins three-bet to 12,000 from the big blind, getting the fold and dragging the pot.
On the very next hand, Hawkins was on the small blind and faced a 6,200 bet from an opponent in early position on the turn, with the board showing
