Hawkins Running it Up

Nível 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Maurice Hawkins
Maurice Hawkins

Maurice Hawkins is playing aggressive poker and frequently adding chips to his stack.

The 13-time WSOP-C ring winner took down pots on consecutive hands to build his stack up to 270,000. On the first hand, the button opened for 3,500, and Hawkins three-bet to 12,000 from the big blind, getting the fold and dragging the pot.

On the very next hand, Hawkins was on the small blind and faced a 6,200 bet from an opponent in early position on the turn, with the board showing {10-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{a-Diamonds}. Hawkins made the call, and the river came the {10-Spades}.

Hawkins checked and the in-position player checked back, luckily for him as Hawkins turned over {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for the full house.

Naets Rivers the Flush to Survive

Nível 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Playing with a short stack in early position, Sylvain Naets called a preflop raise for 7,000 from the button and had just 15,000 left behind.

The flop came {2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{q-Hearts}, Naets checked and the button fired for 12,000. Neats raised for the remaining 15,000 in his stack and got called, with the board running out {2-Clubs}{5-Hearts}.

Naets turned over {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a made flush on the river, much to the frustration of his opponent. The double up brought Naets back up to 44,000.

Fee Collects to Double Up

Nível 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Kenneth Fee from the cutoff position moved all in for his remaining 26,000 and it folded to the big blind who snap-called.

Kenneth Fee: {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The board ran {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{j-Spades} and Fee collected a nice pot to stay alive.

Bicknell Extracts Value on the River

Nível 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The hijack player limped for 1,200, Kristen Bicknell completed in the small blind, and the big blind checked.

The flop came {3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, and Bicknell put in a min-bet of 1,200. The big blind folded, and the hijack called. The turn came the {4-Diamonds}, and both players checked.

The {3-Clubs} came on the river, and Bicknell bet 4,500.

"This is probably a bad call," said the player in the hijack as he was tossing the calling chips into the pot. He was indeed correct, as Bicknell showed {4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} for a full boat.

Hellmuth Goes Bust

Nível 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Phil Hellmuth is no longer seated at Pavilion Yellow #302. Michael McKibbon gets credit for the elimination, and said he had {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} on a queen-high board with a {7-} on it in the hand that sent Hellmuth to the rail. Hellmuth mucked and made his exit.
