The action is about to get underway on Wednesday, July 10th, 2019 at 11 a.m as Day 1 of Event #80: $1,500 Mixed No-Limit Hold'em, Pot Limit Omaha begins. Jordan Polk is the reigning champion, besting a field of 707 entries in 2018 for $197,461 and his first World Series of Poker gold bracelet. Polk defeated Fernando Brito heads up who for the second year in a row had made the final table in this event. Can Brito make it third time the charm? We shall begin to find out very soon.

This event is currently scheduled to be a three-day tournament with the game switching between No-Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha every eight hands. Every player who enters the tournament will receive 25,000 starting chips, with the blinds starting at 100/100 and levels will last 60-minutes long. On Day 1 they will play a total of 10 levels with a 20-minute break after every second level and a 75-min dinner break after the 6th level ( approximately 5:40 p.m.)

Late registration will be available until the end of level eight, at approximately 9:15 p.m. If the players are unfortunate enough to be eliminated in the first eight levels they will have the option of re-entering one time.

The turn was the {6-Spades}, Lam check-raised the buttons bet of 600 to 2,000 and both the player in the middle and the button mucked their hands.

Zerbib Raises his Way to Victory

Jerome Zerbib raised in the cutoff to 300, Scott Eskenazi called in the small blind and the big blind called as well.

The dealer fanned a flop of {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Hearts} Eskenazi and the big blind checked to Zerbib who bet out 400 and they both called.

The turn got checked through by all three players on the {3-Hearts} and the {2-Hearts} fell on the river. Eskenazi checked, the big blind then fired out 1,300 and Zerbib raised it up to 6,000. Eskenazi folded fast and the big blind thought it over for a few seconds but let his hand go.
