Tony Miles was eliminated in brutal fashion. Hand replayed by his former tablemates.
After preflop action folded around to Tony Miles on the button he raised it to 1,000. The small-blind player folded, but Jason Pritchard three-bet to 3,000 from his big blind. With action back on Miles he four-bet shoved his last 17,800 and Pritchard made the call.

flop. Miles moved ahead again on the turn and left Pritchard with only one out, which he hit when the dealer fanned the on the river.

Four-way action picked up on the flop reading 
and a sizable pot already in the middle.
After the big blind and middle-position players both checked, the player in the hijack bet 4,000 and was called by John Cosmich on the button and check-called by the big blind player.
On the 
turn the player in the big blind moved all in, which got a fold from the hijack-player. With action on Cosmich, he made the call and the players tabled their hands.

Both players had the same gutshot straight draw, but Cosmich was ahead with the overpair and had to fade an ace. He did just that on the 
river, which sent the big-blind player to the rail and the large pot to Cosmich.

The 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Martin Jacobson joined the field and he is off to a good start. The Swede already won a small pot and increased his stack by about 25%.

A middle-position player limped and the player in the cutoff raised to 1,200. Thao Yang made the call from the button and the middle-position player also came along and created a three-way pot.
The dealer spread a flop of 
, which got a check from the middle-position player, a continuation bet of 1,100 from the original raiser, a call from Yang and a check-call from the player in middle position. All three players checked the 
turn, and after the middle-position player and original raiser both checked the 
river Yang moved all in.
The middle-position player folded and the original raiser asked to see Yang's chipstack. After seeing that Yang had the bigger chipstack the original raiser also sent his cards to the muck.

A player raised from middle position and Thomas Larson called from the cutoff. Govert Metaal defended his big blind and the three saw the 
flop appear.
It checked to Larson who bet 1,300 but Metaal raised to 3,800. The initial raiser got out of the way and Larson called to see the turn.
The fourth card on the board was the 
and Metaal led out with a bet of 5,800. Larson went in the tank and he asked if Metaal had any big chips behind. He didn't and he had about 8,000 behind after his bet on the turn.
Larson eventually folded and he asked if Metaal had a set but the Dutchman didn't reply while he raked in the chips.
