Baumstein, Ramirez III Battling

Nível 14 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo

A couple of 100k-plus stacks keep colliding at table 606, as Scott Baumstein and Senovio Ramirez III have gone head-to-head in some big pots on Level 14.

The latest came on a flop of {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{9-Spades}, with Baumstein on the button and Ramirez III on the big blind. With more than 40,000 already in the pot, Baumstein raised to 27,000 and got the fold.

The pot avenged a hand from minutes earlier, when Ramirez III shut down Baumstein with {q-Hearts}{k-Spades}{q-Spades} showing on the board. Barry Greenstein is now also seated at this table, which should be entertaining to watch.

Tom Schneider
Tom Schneider

Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo

In a blind versus blind battle, Ton Schneider and Viatcheslav Ortynskiy checked through on a {7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{j-Hearts} flop. Schneider bet 3,000 on the {j-Clubs} turn, getting the fold.

Schneider, the 2007 WSOP Player of the Year and four-time bracelet winner, is always a threat to run deep in just about any format. He won his first two bracelets at the 2007 WSOP, with one of them coming in the $2,500 Omaha/Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo event. He added two more bracelets in 2013, both in H.O.R.S.E. events.

It's still to early to speculate about his chances at bracelet No. 5 in this tournament, but it's no surprise to see Schneider's name among the contenders on Day 2.
