Ortynsky Gets Barber to Fold the River

Nível 2 : 100/100, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Andrew Barber bet from the hijack on a {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop, and got a call from Viatcheslav Ortynsky in the hijack. The small blind folded, bringing the {k-Clubs} turn.

Barber check-called a bet from Ortynsky, and the river fell {a-Hearts}. Ortynsky bet again, getting Barber to fold.

Fuchs Looking for Another Big Finish

Nível 2 : 100/100, 0 ante
Carol Fuchs
Carol Fuchs

Carol Fuchs finished third in the $1,500 Omaha Mix last year, and she's in the field again in 2019.

Fuchs has already cashed three times at the 2019 WSOP, and her overall tournament results for the year are heavily weighted toward mixed games and non-hold'em poker variants.

Her biggest career cash came in the $1,500 Dealer's Choice Six-Handed event at the 2015 WSOP, where she took down her only career bracelet and a payday of $127,735. Her next biggest cash is last year's third-place finish in this event, and she's definitely a player to watch as Day 1 unfolds.

Enright Gets Half of a Four-Way Pot

Nível 2 : 100/100, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Barbara Enright opened under the gun, getting a call from the button. The small blind three-bet, the big blind cold called, and Enright and the button both continued.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, the small blind led out and all three opponents called. The {q-Clubs} came in on the turn, and the action checked through all four players.

The river brought the {9-Hearts}, all players checked again, and only Enright and the small blind showed their hands. Enright had {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} versus the small blind's {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, and the two players both gained chips by chopping the four-way pot.

Enright is down to about half of the starting stack as Level 2 begins.

Greenstein Gets to Work

Nível 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Big O

Barry Greenstein has already pushed his stack up to 20,000 from the starting stack of 12,000, and he's seeing plenty of action on Level 1.

A recent hand saw Greenstein open in the hijack, and both blinds call. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{2-Hearts}, Greenstein bet and the small blind folded. The big blind raised, and Greenstein called.

All of the chips went in on the {5-Diamonds} turn, with Greenstein having his opponent covered.

Barry Greenstein: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Big Blind: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}

Final Board: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

The pot ended up as a chop, with Greenstein turning the wheel for the low, and the big blind taking the high with aces full of fives.

Yueqi Zhu
Yueqi Zhu

Yueqi Zhu, who won the $1,500 Omaha Mix event last year, is here and ready to defend his title as the field trickles in for Level 1.

Last year's win gave Zhu his first and only career WSOP bracelet, and Zhu has proved he's a force to be reckoned with across a variety of games. He might be best known for his 10th-place finish in the 2018 WSOP Main Event, getting one of the bad shares of the infamous aces vs. kings vs. kings situation against Nick Manion on the final table bubble.

Zhu has proven he can run deep in any tournament, including last year's Main Event, a fifth place finish in the 2019 $10,000 Limit 2-7 Lowball championship, and of course his championship run in this event last year.
