Kalman Makes the Right Call

Francisco Valencia limped in on the button and Andrew Barber completed his small blind for Maksim Kalman to opt to check his big blind.

They all checked through the flop to the on the turn. Barber and Kalman checked. Valencia bet 2,500,000 which only Kalman called.

The river completed the board with the , Kalman checked again and now Valencia barreled a bet of 5,500,000 over the line. Kalman confirmed the amount and then made the call. Valencia hesitated for a bit.

"Are you going to show or muck?" the dealer asked Valencia. Valencia took a few more seconds and then mucked.

"Do I still need to show?" Kalman asked the dealer.

"No," the dealer replied.
