Garcia Sends Ataie Packing

Nível 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Payam Ataie opened under the gun for 1,800, three players made the call but were faced with a three-bet from Jorge Garcia on the button to 8,500.

Ataie and a late position player made the call and saw a {2-Spades}{5-Hearts}{k-Clubs} flop. Both players checked to Garcia who continued with a bet of 9,000.

Ataie made the call and the third player folded. They went heads up to the {4-Clubs} turn.

Again Ataie checked and facing a large bet of 26,500 he shoved his remaining stack (around 60,000) into the middle only to be snap-called by Garcia.

His {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} was in bad shape against Gracia's {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}. The river did not help and sent Ataie to the rail leaving Garcia with the table chip lead.

Nível 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

The river was the {2-Diamonds}, Mohr's opponent checked and he moved his whole stack in the middle. The opponent asked for a count and found out it was 22,700. He asked, "Do you have a full house already?" and eventually threw in one chip signaling a call. Mohr tabled {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for the flopped nut-straight and his opponent jumped out of his chair in disgust, and then mucked his hand.
