Gerhart Stays Alive

Nível 13 : 3,000/6,000, 700 ante

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Kevin Gerhart {x-}{x-} / {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} / {x-}
Shaun Deeb {x-}{x-} / {a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} / {x-}
Daniel Ratigan {x-}{x-} / {2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs} (folded on fifth)

Ratigan bet on fourth street and was called by both opponents. On fifth street Deeb led out with a bet, Ratigan folded and Gerhart made the call after thinking for a while. Gerhart was all in by sixth street and ended up with the winning hand to scoop the whole pot when he showed {6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Hearts} which Deeb could not beat and kept Gerhart's tournament alive.

Straight Flush for Richey

Nível 13 : 3,000/6,000, 700 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Michael Thompson limped in from under the gun and action folded around to Brett Richey in the small blind, who completed. Jon Turner checked from the big blind and the three saw a flop of {4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{10-Spades}. All three players checked, bringing the {9-Spades} turn.

Richey bet out and Turner folded. Thompson made the call and the river came {j-Spades}. Richey bet out again and Thompson thought for a while before folding, showing {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{x-}{x-} for a set of nines.

"Straight flush," remarked Richey, showing {q-Spades}{8-Spades}{x-}{x-} for a backdoored straight flush and raked in the pot that he took down on the river.

Meanwhile, the aforementioned mass of chips that is Jon Turner's stack has seemingly multiplied as he has likely eclipsed the 200,000 mark.

Rechnitzer Chips Up

Nível 13 : 3,000/6,000, 700 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Marco Johnson limped from under the gun and the player to his left followed suit. Action folded around to Gerard Rechnitzer in the small blind who completed. The big blind checked and the flop came {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. Three players checked and the player to Johnson's left bet. Rechnitzer called and the other two players in the hand folded.

The turn was {9-Clubs} and both players checked. The river then came {4-Clubs} and Rechnitzer bet out. His opponent thought for close to a full minute, looking back at his cards a couple of times before tossing his cards into the muck.

Zaichenko and Vengrin Leave Foxen on Fumes

Nível 12 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

Alex Foxen {x-}{x-} / {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{a-Spades} / {x-}
Matt Vengrin {x-}{x-} / {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts} / {x-}
Andrey Zaichenko {x-}{x-} / {6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} / {x-}

After the bring-in folded, action was three-way after Foxen completed and Vengrin and Zaichenko called. On fourth street, Vengrin bet and got two calls. On fifth street, Foxen led out with a bet and both opponents called. On sixth street, action checked around. All three players checked again after they were dealt on seventh street.

Vengrin revealed {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for the high and Zaichenko showed {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for the low while Foxen looked at his cards and mucked in a frustrated manner. He was left with almost no chips and would bust in the subsequent hand.
