Vincent Chauve Leads the Field on Day 4; Igor Yaroshevskyy Still in Contention

Vincent Chauve
Vincent Chauve

Welcome to Day 4 of Event #50: Monster Stack - $1,500 No Limit Hold’em.

Action on Day 3 started from the moment the first cards hit the felt, with almost 200 of the 457 players that returned hitting the rail in the first two levels of play. Kainalu McCue-Unciano, who went into Day 3 as the chip leader, was responsible for a good number of those bust outs. McCue-Unciano started the day with just over 2,000,000 in chips, but by the dinner break had built his stack to over 16,000,000 thanks to an amazing run of cards. Unfortunately, McCue-Unciano's fortunes changed in the latter parts of Day 3, especially during the last level of play, and he bagged 3,750,000 going into Day 4.

Forty-nine players will return to take their seats on Day 4, and Vincent Chauve, who amassed a good portion of his stack during the last two levels of play yo bag a very impressive 22,000,000 in chips, returns as the start-of-day chip leader. Bryan Kim (17,725,000), Anthony Kazgandjian (15,700,000), Ramiro Petrone (13,900,000), and Andre Haneberg (12,725,000) round out the top five. Andrew Moreno, Bart Hanson, Kevin Roster, Tom Koral and Igor Yaroshevskyy will also be returning to take their seats at the start of Day 4.

All returning players are guaranteed a minimum payout of $22,561, but of course, it's the WSOP gold bracelet and $1,008,850 in cash that they're all playing for.

Day 4 resumes at 12 p.m. local time and will play down to six players. There will be hour-long levels with a 60-minute dinner break after the sixth level of play (approximately 6:45 p.m.). Play will restart at Level 32, with blinds of 100,000/200,000 and an ante of 200,000. The PokerNews team will be on hand to bring you all the action from when the first card is dealt until the last card hits the felt.

The Dream Ends for "Racks"

Nível 32 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Kevin Roster
Kevin Roster

Kevin "Racks" Roster, whose heartbreaking story about his battle with Sarcoma — a rare form of cancer — captured the hearts of the poker community, got all of his chips in the middle preflop against Elliott Peterman for roughly 3,400,000 and they were off to the races.

Kevin Roster: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Elliott Peterman: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, giving Peterman a flush draw to go along with his ace-king. The turn was the {k-Hearts}, putting Peterman way ahead, and the {3-Spades} on the river changed nothing sending Roster to the payout desk.

"Well, that ends the dream," Roster said as he was leaving the table. He ultimately finished in 39th place and received $22,561 for his deep run.

Nicholas Kallenbach

Nicholas Kallenbach moved all in from under-the-gun, and when action folded around to Paraskevas Tsokaridis in late position, he re-shoved behind and the remaining players got out of the way.

Nicholas Kallenbach: {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}
Paraskevas Tsokaridis: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Kallenbach didn't hit on the {q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}{q-Spades}{9-Hearts} runout, was eliminated in 24th place, and will take home $34,515.

Timothy Little Eliminated in 23rd Place ($34,515)

Nível 34 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Timothy Little
Timothy Little

Tom Koral raised in early position and the action folded around to Timothy Little in the big blind and he shoved all-in for somewhere in the neighborhood of 3,800,000. Koral snap-called and the hands were tabled.

Tom Koral: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Timothy Little: {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The flop was no help for Little with the {q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs} but the {k-Clubs} on the turn gave Little some hope, picking up an open-ended straight draw. Unfortunately for Little the river {2-Hearts} was a brick.

With preflop action Noah Lauck, he shoved his last remaining chips and was called by Andre Haneberg from the next seat over.

Noah Lauck: {q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Andre Haneberg: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

After the dealer spread a flop of {8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, Lauck was drawing pretty thin to a runner-runner straight, which didn't happen on the {9-Clubs}{10-Spades} runout and he was sent to the rail in 22nd place.

All the chips went in the middle before the flop and Naor Slobodskoy was the one at risk.

Greg Fishberg: {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Naor Slobodskoy: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Slobodskoy was a dominating favorite but the flop of {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} changed things quickly. The turn {5-Clubs} and river {q-Clubs} were no help for Slobodskoy sending him to the payout desk in 21st place.

John Humphries
John Humphries

In a heads up pot, there was roughly 2,300,000 in the pot already on a flop of {j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and John Humphries moved all-in for 5,150,000. Kainalu McCue-Unciano went into the tank for a full minute before making the call.

Kainalu McCue-Unciano: {q-Clubs}{8-Spades}
John Humphries: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

McCue-Unciano was in the lead with his pair of eights but Humpries still had plenty of outs to win. The turn {2-Diamonds} and the river {9-Hearts} wasn't what Humphries was looking for though and went eliminated in 20th place.

Action picked up on a board reading {a-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and almost 14,000,000 already in the middle.

Benjamin Ector, first to act and with a covering stack, went all in. The other player in the hand, Paraskevas Tsokaridis, went deep into the tank and said, "Sorry guys, this might take some time," and his tablemates told him to take all the time he needed. After about another two minutes he tossed in the calling chips and saw the bad news.

Kainalu McCue-Unciano raised under-the-gun to 850,000 and Anthony Kazgandjian defended from the big blind.

The flop came {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, after being checked to McCue-Unciano bet out 1,200,000 and after taking about 30 seconds Kazgandjian moved all in for around 7,000,000 and McCue-Unciano called.

Anthony Kazgandjian: {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Kainalu McCue-Unciano: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
