Laipenieks Scoops Big Pot Just Before Dinner Break

Nível 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Action picked up on the river on a board reading {7-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and about 325,000 already in the pot.

Eric Laipenieks, who has substantially increased his Day 2 starting stack, was first to act and led out with a bet of 150,000. The other player in the hand thought about for it a moment before he released his hand and sent the large pot to Laipenieks, which added even more chips to his already-impressive chipstack.

Hayes Busts One

Nível 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Felix Vandeput started the action with a raise to 22,000 in early position and Bryan Hayes called from one seat over. A third player moved all in for her last 24,000 chips and Vandeput and Hayes completed.

The board came {j-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Vandeput check-folded after Hayes bet 36,000. Hayes tabled {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for a pair of jacks which was still good against the {a-Spades}{k-Spades} of his opponent after a {9-} and {q-Diamonds} completed the board.

Shahar Sends One Home

Nível 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The under-the-gun player raised it to 30,000, and when action folded around to Noam Shahar on the button, he three-bet to 95,000. After both of the blinds folded, the original raiser then four-bet shoved and was called by Shahar. The two players tabled their hands and the all-in player realized he had to win a flip to stay alive.

All-in Player: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Noam Shahar: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out {8-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, which gave Shahar the set on the river and sent the player to the payout desk.

Weismann's Bluff Doesn't Get Through

Nível 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The board already showed {j-Spades}{k-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} with a pot containing around 200,000 when Joey Weissman fired 220,000 after his opponent checked, leaving him with 30,000 chips behind.

His opponent, at risk for his tournament, went deep into the tank and made the call after the clock has been called. Weissman tabled {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for ace-high and won the pot as his opponent showed {9-Spades}{7-Spades} for a pair of sevens.

Meikat Siu

Meikat Siu was all in with {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and was facing {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} in her opponent's hand. The board brought no help to Siu with {2-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{9-Hearts} who busted at the bubble.

However, Mateusz Moolhuizen busted at the same time with a similar stack and the tournament director announced they were chopping the 906th place finish for $1,124 each as a consolation prize.

Nível 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Kevin Artman was all in from the big blind and was against Sorrentino and another player, both playing for a side pot.

The two remaining active players checked throughout the board {4-Spades}{8-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Artman won the pot with {a-Clubs}{a-Spades} while Sorrentino won the side pot with {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}.

Smiljkovic Doubles on the Bubble

Nível 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Preflop action replayed courtesy of Daniel Smiljkovic.

Daniel Smiljkovic raised to 60,000 from early position, leaving himself just 8,000 behind, and when action folded around to Sylvain Naets in the big blind, he made the call.

Naets then bet 8,000 on the {6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop, and Smiljkovic called all-in.

Daniel Smiljkovic: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Sylvain Naets: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The board ran out {4-Spades} on the turn and {j-Spades} on the river, which gave Smiljkovic the double-up while hand-for-hand play was taking place. Also worth noting is that an {a-} had been mistakenly exposed preflop.

Hen Scores Timely Double-Up

Nível 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

After the under-the-gun player opened for 20,000, Ory Hen three-bet shoved from the next seat over. Action folded back around the original raiser and he made the call.

Ory Hen: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Original Raiser: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Hen's pair was dominated, but that all changed after the dealer spread {2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}, and Hen flopped middle set. The board ran out cleanly on the {8-Clubs} turn and {10-Diamonds} river, which gave Hen the double-up at a crucial time.
