Partial Showdown Between Epstein and Weisman

Nível 19 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

With the money bubble in reach and 45 players remaining, the action is expected to slow down.

In a battle of the blinds between Alex Epstein and Dylan Weisman, the turn showed {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{a-Hearts} and Epstein led for 60,000. Weisman raised to 200,000 and that eventually won the pot, as Epstein mucked the {j-Hearts} and was returned the favor by Weisman who revealed his {10-Clubs}.

"That's the much better suit," Epstein mentioned in table chat. All further counts of their table can be found below.

Drummond Busts One

Nível 19 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

The money bubble is approaching rapidly and Gavin Cochrane was eliminated just before a payday. Michael Drummond felted a short-stacked table neighbor when his {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{3-Spades} held up against {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs} on a board of {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}.

Chen into Chip Lead After Double Elimination

Nível 19 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
James Chen
James Chen

James Chen opened to 50,000 and got two calls before Julien Martini raised to 280,000. The Nguyen moved all in for 220,000 from the big blind.

Chen asked how much Martini was playing before raising to 700,000. The two callers folded and Martini got the rest of his chips in.

The Nguyen: {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Julien Martini: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Spades}
James Chen: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Martini was still ahead after the {q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop and Nguyen turned a straight draw on the {7-Clubs} turn as he sought to stay alive. Chen held the nut flush draw, but it was the off-suit {q-Hearts} which landed on the river, giving him trips and sending both Martini and Nguyen to the rail.

Big Stacks With Two Levels Left

Nível 19 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Down to 50 Players

Nível 19 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Before the break, John Racener and Bryn Kenney departed and Kahle Burns bluffed into the full house of Anson Tsang.

After the break, Bryn Kenney and Jim Collopy followed and that reduced the field to the final 50 players with 42 of them taking home a share of the massive prize pool.

Bastian Doubles Through Riordan

Nível 18 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Sebastian Bastian ended up all in for 220,000 with the {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and John Riordan looked him up with {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

Bastian had to dodge spades after the {9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop and did so thanks to the {5-Hearts} turn and {10-Diamonds} river to double with two pair.

Epstein and Taylor Rising

Nível 18 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Alex Epstein raised to 40,000 and Joe Hachem called from one seat over. In the cutoff, Julien Martini three-bet to 164,000 and Epstein called after some consideration, as did Hachem. The {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop was checked to Martini and he continued for 80,000, only Epstein came along.

Neither the {k-Spades} turn nor the {5-Spades} river brought any betting action and Epstein won the pot with {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for a straight.

The table broke right after as Sam Snead and Tyler Smith had been sent to the rail with Esther Taylor rising to a big stack on their former table.

Another Full House for Karmazinas

Nível 18 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

On the tail end of a hand between Dominykas Karmazinas and Dan Smith, the former bet the {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts} river for 120,000 and Smith called.

Karmazinas announced a full house and tabled the {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{7-Hearts} to continue his chatty behavior at the table with even more chips.
