Moon Doubles Through Hallay

Nível 34 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

The hand started out relatively tame, but things escalated quickly. After preflop action folded around to Axel Hallay in the small blind, he thought for a moment and then made the call. Benjamin Moon, in the big blind, then thought for a moment as well before he announced "All in," which was met with a snap call from Hallay, who had been setting a trap.

Benjamin Moon: {a-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Axel Hallay: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Moon looked to be headed to the payout desk after the runout through the turn of {j-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, but the {a-Diamonds} on the river kept him at the table, and got Moon to remark, "I'm running good so far today."

Action Slows Down to a Crawl

Nível 34 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

With ten players left, two tables of five players and no hand-for-hand, action has slowed down to a crawl on both tables as no one wants to miss out on the final table. Pots are very few and far between currently, with only the occasional shove from the short stack getting through.

While the blinds went up, one more hand was played on both tables and ultimately resulted in two players busting out, leaving a final table of eight.

In the first hand, it was Robert Mitchell who opened from under the gun. Josh Boulton three-bet shoved 3,900,000 from middle position and Mitchell snapped him off.

Robert Mitchell: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Mitchell's incredible heater from today kept going as he won another coin flip to oust Boulton in 10th place: {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades}{9-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

After Axel Hallay min-raised it up to 600,000 and was called by Marco Bognanni from the button, Nick Jivkov then three-bet shoved all in from his small blind. Hallay folded, but Bognanni asked for a count, and once the dealer confirmed a total of 5,350,000 Bognanni made the call and the two players tabled their hands.

Marco Bognanni: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {5-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{j-Clubs}, and Bognanni's ace-queen-high was good enough to elimate Jivkov in 9th place.

In record fashion, the field has been whittled down to six as Benjamin Moon saw his attempt at a back-to-back bracelet attempt fall short in 7th place.

It was Moon who open-shoved 6,100,000 from early position. Axel Halley was one seat over and asked for a count before calling it off. All other players folded to get the cards on their backs.

Benjamin Moon: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
