Day 1a of Event #34: $1,000 Double Stack No-Limit Hold’em Starts at 10 AM on June 14th

Winner Robert Peacock
Winner Robert Peacock

It’s time for the second edition of the $1,000 Double Stack No-Limit Hold’Em, which starts at 10 a.m. local time on Friday 14th June. The players will be given a double starting stack, 40,000 chips, for their $1,000 buy-in and they'll play 60 minutes levels throughout the day.

Robert Peacock, the reigning champion, managed to overcome 5,700 players last year, claiming his first gold bracelet along with a paycheck of $644,244. Due to the fact that players can re-enter once per starting flight, the expectation is that this tournament will attract a big field over the two starting days.

Eleven levels will be played, with a 20-minute break every two levels and a 75-minute dinner break after the sixth level at around 4.40 p.m. The late registration and re-entry period are open for 10 levels, which is until approximately 10.35 p.m. local time.

The players that manage to bag and tag their chips at the end of Day 1a or Day 1b continue playing on Sunday, June 16, at 12 noon local time. Including the two starting days, this event is scheduled to play down to a winner in five days.
