The bracelet champion is set to be decided today in Event #32: $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold’em Championship. The original plan for this event was to play down to six players on Day 3, but after 10 levels of grinding on Saturday 19 players still remained. Those players come back to the Amazon Room today for a 12 noon start and will play down to a winner.

Some of the big stacks in contention for the$662,594 first-place prize money include Day 2 and Day 3 chip leader Howard Mash (13,990,000), who is seeking the first six-figure payday of his career.

EPT champion Jean-Rene Fontaine (12,250,000) looks to add his first WSOP bracelet to his poker resume, while other contenders still in the hunt include Farhad Jamasi (10,4525,000), Alan Ho (10,065,000) and Dennis Brand (9,045,000).

Play will begin at Level 31 today, with the blinds at 80,000-160,000. More than half of the remaining 19 players begin Day 4 with 40 big blinds or more, so it really is anybody’s bracelet to win as the $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship comes to its conclusion. The field will play one-hour levels, with 15-minute breaks after every two levels and a dinner break time to be determined.

There are no former WSOP bracelet winners left in the field, so whoever comes away with the championship will be a guaranteed first-time bracelet winner.

Stay with the PokerNews live reporting team throughout the day as a champion will be crowned at the Rio felt.
