Day 1 of Event #30: $1000 Pot-Limit Omaha Begins Today at 11.00 a.m

While one Pot-Limit Omaha WSOP event is wrapping up today, another one is getting ready to begin. Event #30: Pot-Limit Omaha is starting today at 11.00 a.m and will continue for the next three days.

In 2017, Tyler Groth won first place for $179,126, and last year, Filippos Stravrakis took down the title for $169,842 and the WSOP gold bracelet. It is likely that Stravrakis will be back to defend his title in this tournament, which will have 60-minute blind levels with 20-minute breaks after every second level. There will be a 75-minute dinner break after the sixth level at approximately 5:40 p.m. and all the entrants will start with 20,000 chips, with blinds beginning at 100/100. Late registration will be open until after the eighth level at approximately 9.15 p.m.

Cord Garcia has entered Event #30: $1000 Pot-Limit Omaha. Garcia has an outstanding $2,668,041 in live earnings, winning the first-ever Colossus in 2015 for $638,880. He has also finished in the semi-finals of Event #15: $10,000 No Limit Holdem this year taking home $73,333, losing out to eventual winner Sean Swingruber.

Garcia will be looking to spin his 20,000 stack up and make it through all three days of this tournament to win his second WSOP gold bracelet.

Fishberg Doubles With Nut Flush

Sabe Gets Paid

The action began with Mathew Berenson limping in late position, Nathaniel Dalbec limped behind and Ryan Mcknight raised to 1,000 from the small blind. Joseph Sabe called from the big blind and both limpers came along.

All four players checked through to the river on a board of , Mcknight checked once again, and Sabe fired out 3,000. Berenson thought it over for 30-seconds and called. Dalbec and Mcknight folded and Sabe showed for a straight and Berenson's cards hit the muck.
