Cordeiro Gets Some Chips back

Nível 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

The player under-the-gun limped and Marle Cordeiro completed. The big blind player checked and the dealer brought a flop of {k-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and the under-the-gun player bet 1,000 after two checks. Only Cordeiro called.

The turn was the {10-Spades} and the action went check-check, as did the river {a-Diamonds}. Cordeiro tabled {8-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for a pair of kings, while his opponent showed {5-Spades}{4-Clubs}.

"Not the card I wanted," said Cordeiro's opponent.

Small Pot for Stout

Matt Stout
Matt Stout

Matt Stout raised to 1,000 from the cutoff when it folded to him and big blind Marc-André Ladouceur defended.

The flop was dealt {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and both players checked. They checked as well on the {9-Hearts} turn and Ladouceur did so on the {a-Clubs} river. Stout had a different plan and he picked up the pot when he bet 1,300.

Park Sends Calamusa to the Rail

Nível 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Hui Park raised under the gun and Pierre Calamusa made the call, followed by the player in the big blind.

{j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs} appeared on the flop and after the big blind checked, Hui continued for 900. Calamusa re-raised to 2,300 and the big blind player folded. Hui quickly called.

Things turned bad for Calamusa on the turn {10-Hearts} when he bet 4,000 after Hui checked, leaving him with around 3,500 chips behind. Hui thought about his move for a minute and bet 10,000, snap-called by Calamusa.

Holding {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}, Calamausa was in desperate for a double up, facing {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} in Hui's hand and a {8-Diamonds} fell on the river to eliminate the French player from the tournament.
