Pollock Still In It

Nível 14 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

While Allan Le lost the fight with his short stack, Josh Pollock was more fortunate and chopped to boost his short stack.

He got it in with {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Spades} against the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts} of Matthew Schreiber and the board came {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs} to give him three quarters of the pot.

Pollock was all in once more with {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Spades} against the {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} of Chris Amaral and the {q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}{7-Clubs} board ensured the split pot.

Ashby Wins a Big One

Nível 14 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Richard Ashby
Richard Ashby

"Someone's going to win a big one," murmured someone at the table as seven players saw a {2-Hearts}{q-Spades}{10-Spades} flop. It checked to Richard Ashby who bet, with Jim Collopy raising in the next position. It folded back to Ashby who called.

The turn {k-Hearts} was checked by both players. The river was the {10-Diamonds}. Ashby bet and Collopy raised. Ashby thought before calling.

Jim Collopy: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Richard Ashby: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Collopy put his hands to his head in disbelief as Ashby took down the pot.

Schwartz Scoops Three-Way All In

Nível 14 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Allan Le raised and picked up two callers including Delmiro Toledo and Jake Schwartz in the blinds. On the {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{a-Spades} turn, the action escalated as Toledo was all in for 50,000 and Schwartz for 56,000. Le made the call to put two players at risk in the following showdown:

Delmiro Toledo: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Jake Schwartz: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Allan Le: {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades}

The {q-Spades} fell on the river and Schwartz essentially tripled up, while Toledo was eliminated. Ylon Schwartz also ran out of chips shortly after on a different table.

Racener Scoops to Stay Alive

Nível 14 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

On a {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop Andrey Zaichenko checked and Derek McMaster bet. John Racener raised and Zaichenko called. McMaster then re-raised, Racener was all in and Zaichenko called.

The pair checked the {5-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} runout and Zaichenko showed {9-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Hearts} for a pair of fives. Racener showed {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for a pair of tens, with McMaster mucking. He said he mucked {j-}{7-}{6-}{2-}.

Bjorin Eliminated; Ivey Surging

Nível 13 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Andrey Zaichenko raised and got calls from Derek McMaster as well as Phil Ivey on the button. Chris Bjorin raised in the small blind and was all in for 18,000.

The other players all called and the flop {5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} was checked around. The turn was the {4-Hearts} and Zaichenko checked to McMaster who bet and got two calls.

The river {k-Hearts} was checked. Zaichenko showed {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} for an eight-five low and a pair of fours. McMaster mucked and Ivey showed {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for a pair of queens.

Bjorin double checked his cards before opening {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} face up on the table and he was eliminated.

Perry Friedman
Perry Friedman

Perry Friedman was all in with the {q-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Ryan Miller looked him up with the {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. On a board of {9-Spades}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, Miller's two pair with nines and treys scooped the pot and Friedman was eliminated.

"Alright, you win the glasses," he said and pushed over his sunglasses to Miller.

Higgs on a Heater

Nível 13 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Sam Higgs
Sam Higgs

Sam Higgs bet throughout a board of {q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and forced folds from Mike Wattel and John Racener to get his stack up to around 445,000. That was the start of a rush for the Aussie, as he continued with plenty of aggression.

In the next hand he defended out of the small blind against a raise by Philip Sternheimer and check-called on the {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop. Higgs check-raised the {4-Hearts} turn and Sternheimer called before Higgs bet the {q-Diamonds} river as well. Sternheimer called all in and was shown the {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for a flush and a low. Sternheimer only had {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and was eliminated.

Higgs took on Wattel and Racener once more and this time it was just Racener that called a river bet on {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Higgs rolled over {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades} for a full house and scored the next pot.

One hand later, Chris Bjorin was all in after four-way action to the {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{8-Hearts} turn as Andrey Zaichenko had led. Higgs called in the cutoff and also called another bet by Zaichenko on the {j-Hearts} river.

Zaichenko {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}) and Bjorin {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs} chopped the low and Higgs took the high portion with {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}.
