Welcome to Day 2 of Event #17, $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Shootout. Out of a field of 917 players, 100 players will return today to the Amazon Room to play 10 new Shootout table in Round 2. They will all try to come on top of their tables once again, in order to secure a spot into the final ten tomorrow. There are some terrific match-ups around the tables, with Jennifer Tilly (pictured left), Erik Seidel and the 2016 WSOP Main Event winner Qui Nguyen all sharing a table just one example.
Many notables are still in contention including bracelet winners Athanasios Polychronopoulos, Erik Seidel, Greg Mueller, Joe Cada, Jennifer Tilly, Qui Nguyen, and Loni Harwood as well as well-known players Kelly Minkin, Cary Katz, Maurice Hawkins, Florian Duta, and Stephen Song.
Cards will be in the air at 12 p.m. local time and levels will last 40 minutes each. There will be a 15-minute break every three levels, and a 60-minute dinner break at the completion of Level 9, at approximately 6:30 p.m. The players will begin play in the first level of Round 2 which features a small blind of 1,000, big blind of 2,000 and an ante of 2,000.

Event #17: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout drew 917 entries and generated a prize pool of $1,237,950. A total of 100 spots will be paid with a min-cash good for $5,279 and the winner will walk away with $238,824, in addition to the coveted gold bracelet. Here's a look at the final ten payouts:

The flop showed and there was already a hug pot of 110,000 in the middle between three players. The small blind checked and Brett Apter in middle position bet 45,000 to the button who moved all in for 180,000. The small blind folded and the Apter made a snap call.

A flop reading was dealt and Zhechev checked. Walton bet 7,000, which led to a call from Manion but a fold from Zhechev.
