Timmons Takes Two

Nível 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

The under-the-gun player jammed for 34,500, and TJ Timmons called in middle position. The hijack called off for the exact same amount, and the hands were tabled.

TJ Timmons: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Under-the-gun: {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Hijack: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The hijack maintained his lead on the {k-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop, and improved to two pair on the {10-Hearts} turn. The {j-Spades} river made Broadway for TImmons, however, and he scored a double KO.

Bowen Sends One Deep Into the Tank

Nível 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

The big blind checked an {8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{q-Clubs} flop over to Planet Hollywood dealer Christopher Bowen in middle position, who bet 10,000. The big blind check-raised to 24,000, and Bowen called.

The big blind bet another 24,000 on the {8-Clubs} turn, and Bowen quickly announced, "All in," putting the big blind at risk for his last 100,000.

After a minute, the big blind peered at the board, then stared at Bowen. He eventually stood up, pondering his decision. Five minutes ticked by before a player called the clock. With just three seconds left in the countdown, the big blind folded, and Bowen took down the last pot before their table broke.

Fenzke Wins a Monster

Nível 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

A player raised to 15,000 from under-the-gun, and Eric Fenzke, a tournament director at Players Casino in Ventura, California, three-bet to 100,000, leaving himself just 17,000 behind. A short-stacked player committed his last 18,500 in the hijack, and the under-the-gun player jammed to put Fenzke at risk. Fenzke quickly called.

Eric Fenzke: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Under-the-gun: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Hijack: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

The {3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop was a pure action flop, as Fenzke had flopped the nuts with a draw to a Royal Flush, while the under-the-gun player was live with top set. The {9-Hearts} turn eliminated the hijack from the tournament, and the {5-Hearts} river secured the chunky double for Fenzke.

Shoemaker Drags in Another Pot

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Under the gun Derrick Shoemaker raised to 7,500 and only the small blind made the call. The flop was {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and both players checked.

The turn was the {8-Clubs} and the small blind led with 8,000 and Derrick made the call.

The river came the {8-Hearts} and the small blind again fired 27,000 and Derrick just briefly tanked before making the call.

The small blind showed {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Derrick showed him the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}.

Cross Tangles With Janiga

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Valerie Cross
Valerie Cross

PokerNews Associate Editor Valerie Cross limped in on the button, and the small blind limped in as well. Brett Janiga, who runs the poker room at the Remington Bar and Casino in Whitefish, Montana, checked his option in the big blind.

Action checked over to Cross on a {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop, and she bet 5,500. Only Janiga called.

Both players checked the {q-Spades} turn, and Janiga bet 6,000 on the {5-Diamonds} river. Cross gave Janiga a wry grin before mucking.

"Show the seven!" the small blind told Janiga. "I don't have a seven!" Janiga said back with a smile.
