Celebrating a decade of Australian marquee poker action, The Star Sydney Championships boasts a Series Guaranteed Prize Pool of $2,250,000 this July.
The series features five huge guarantees with highlights including the $3,000 ($2,800 + $200) Main Event and the $20,000 ($19,000 + $1,000) High Rollers, set to attract the southern hemisphere’s poker elite.
The Star Poker has established itself on the international poker market as the only Australian location for The World Series of Poker Circuit and stays in the spotlight this winter with The Sydney Championships in 2018.

Hand #101: John Cynn opened for 2.2 million under the gun and Joe Cada defended big blind. Cada check-called 2.4 million on the flop and the arrived, pairing the board. Cada led out for 5.1 million and Cynn tanked awhile before raising to 10.5 million. It was Cada's turn to tank but after about two minutes he called. The brought four to a straight and Cada shoved after thinking over a minute.
It was for just over 15 million and he won the pot as Cynn folded immediately.
