A Few More Amazon Purple Chip Counts

Nível 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Stone Doubles Through Lovey

Nível 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Katie Stone raised to 25,000 from early position and Raphael Lovey re-raised to 100,000 next to act. It folded back to Stone who called and they went heads up to the {j-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop.

Stone checked and Lovey moved all in covering Stone who had just over 300,000 behind. Stone called and Lovey showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} for just ace king high.

Stone turned over her {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} and was in great shape to double up and she did just that when the {4-Spades} and {q-Hearts} completed the board.

Young Eliminated by Montizanti

Nível 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Jordan Young
Jordan Young

Catching the action on the flop of {4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{9-Hearts}, Jordan Young was all in for his last 75,000 from the big blind and was met with one call before Elizabeth Montizanti pushed out two big stacks of chips amounting to a raise of somewhere in the vicinity of 225,000.

The player in the small blind folded, as did the first caller, and the cards were tabled.

Young: {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}
Montizanti: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Young would need some runner-runner help to stay alive, but when the {9-Diamonds} rolled off on the turn, his chances of survival would be cut down to zero.

The river landed the meaningless {Q-Spades}, and Young headed to the rail while Montizanti climbed over 1.2 million.

Gryko Loses One Before Table Change

Nível 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

In the last hand before the table broke in the Amazon Tan section, Richard Gryko and his table neighbor were involved in a bigger pot. The turn showed {10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} and action checked to Gryko, who bet 75,000. His opponent called and the {2-Hearts} fell on the river. Both players checked and Gryko was shown the {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for a straight, which ended up scooping the pot.

With around 1.25 million in chips, Gryko headed over to his new seat assignment in the Orange section.
