Obst Loses One

Nível 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

James Obst raised to 750 in early position and three players joined him to the flop. It came {3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and Obst continued for 1,600. Only a player on the button called him while the blinds got out of the way.

The turn was the {7-Clubs} and Obst barreled, firing 3,200. His opponent thought for more than a minute and then tossed in a call.

Both players knuckled on the {2-Spades} river and Obst showed {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a turned pair but it wasn't good against {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

Luske Eliminated

Nível 3 : 150/300, 25 ante
Marcel Lüske
Marcel Lüske

On a flop of {j-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, a player in middle position checked and Marcel Luske shoved all in for about 20,000 into a pot of around 15,000. He was met with a snap-call and the {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} he turned over was in awful shape against {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}. The {10-Spades} turn brought some chop outs but the river was a {3-Hearts} and Luske took his leave in the early stages of Day 1c.

Brereton's Pocket Eights Holds

Nível 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

A player opened for 800 and only Luke Brereton made the call. The flop brought {4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Brereton called his opponent's continuation bet for 1,000.

The turn was the {9-Hearts} and Brereton bet 3,000 after his opponent checked. The latter called and the river completed the board with {5-Hearts}. Both players checked and Brereton turned over {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} for the winning hand, against {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for his opponent.

Cada Slips

Nível 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Joe Cada was on the button and heads-up against the big blind on a {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} board. The big blind checked, Cada bet, and the big blind called, creating a pot of approximately 10,000.

The {4-Clubs} hit the river and the big blind bet 4,100, sending Cada into the tank. After about a minute, he called, and the big blind flipped over {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} for turned Broadway. Cada mucked and his opponent took the pot.

Duong Eliminates Wan

Nível 3 : 150/300, 25 ante
Jack Duong
Jack Duong

A player in late position raised to 850 and the player in the cutoff called. Jack Duong called from the button and Jeffrey Wan re-raised to 4,300 from the small blind. The player in the cutoff called and Duong called behind.

They went three handed to the {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop and Wan continued with a bet of 6,150. Duong called and they went heads-up to the {8-Spades} turn. Wan moved all in for 12,500 and Duong snap called turning over his {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for a flopped set.

Wan was drawing dead holding {k-Spades}{j-Clubs} and the meaningless {10-Spades} completed the board to earn Duong the pot and the elimination.

Kessler Can't Get Anything Going

Nível 3 : 150/300, 25 ante
Allen Kessler
Allen Kessler

It folded to Allen Kessler in middle position and he raised to 800. One seat over it was David Algarra who three-bet to 2,400. Kessler folded and doesn't seem to have been able to get anything going today so far. There are still well over two more levels to play on Day 1c, so there's no need for Kessler to be in a hurry.

Bailor Starting to Climb Back to Starting Stack

Nível 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

There was a short stack all in for 7,925 and Samuel Bailor made the call. Both players turned over their hands.

Samuel Bailor: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Opponent: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The board ran out {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{q-Spades}{2-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and Bailor's two pair secured the pot, eliminating the short stack.
