Lichtenberger Wins a Four-Way Pot

Nível 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

A first player limped from under the gun and Andrew Lichtenberger raised it to 2,000 from one seat over. Two players called and so did the initial limper.

The flop brought {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and after the first player and Lichtenberger checked, the third player bet 4,500. He was called twice and the action came back to Lichtenberger who raised it to 12,500. His three opponents folded and Lichtenberger took down the pot.

Michael Wasserman raised to 1,150 from the button and Chris Klodnicki re-raised to 4,000 from the big blind. Wasserman called and they went heads-up to the {a-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop.

Klodnicki checked and Wasserman fired out a bet of 2,700. Klodnicki called and both players checked the {8-Diamonds} turn card. The river was the {2-Diamonds} and both players knuckled the felt. Klodnicki rolled over his {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and Wasserman threw his hand into the muck.

"Nice hand" said Wasserman as Klodnicki stacked his chips.

The flop was showing {3-Spades}{j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and three players were in the hand when Alex Foxen bet 1,300 after the two players in the blinds checked. They both called and the dealer revealed a {2-Hearts} on the turn. All the players checked.

The river was a {10-Diamonds} and all the players checked once more. The small blind player tabled {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} while the big blind mucked his hand, and Foxen turned over {10-Spades}{8-Spades} for a higher pair and earned the pot.

Kurtzman Takes From Ernst

Nível 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

Picking up the action on the {K-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{10-Diamonds} turn, Matthew Ernst bet 4,700 in middle position and was called by fellow bigger stack Eric Kurtzman from two seats over. The {9-Spades} on the river completed the board and Ernst now slowed down and checked. Kurtzman bet 5,000 and that was enough to force a fold from Ernst, who slowly but surely dropped back to the starting stack.
