Tanouye Takes from Bohlman

Nível 21 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Scott Bohlman opened to 22,000 from the button and Jeffrey Tanouye called from the big blind.

The flop came {K-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Tanouye checked. Bohlman bet 16,000 and Tanouye called.

The {A-Hearts} fell on the turn, Tanouye checked, Bohlman bet 35,000, and Tanouye called.

The river brought the {8-Clubs} and both players checked. Tanouye tabled {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and it was good enough to win the pot.

Givens Sends Two Home

Nível 21 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Will Givens was on the right side of a cooler, getting it in with {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} in a three-way all in which saw the other two players turn up kings and queens. Givens' hand remained the winner when the {9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} board appeared and he scored a double elimination to vault through the provisional rankings.

Charania Doubles Up

Nível 21 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Allen Kessler just informed us that Mohsin Charania, who is seated a couple spots to Kessler's right, recently doubled up when he moved all-in preflop for 108,000 holding {A-}{K-} and got action from a player holding {9-}{9-}. The flop contained two jacks and a small card but a {K-} showed up on the turn to give Charania the lead. The river was irrelevant and he doubled up.

Turner Sends One Out

Nível 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

A player in middle position shoved for about 60,000, Joshua Turner jammed over the top from the cutoff, everyone else got out of the way, and the two players tabled their hands.

Joshua Turner: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}

Turner had the preflop edge in the race and his opponent needed to improve to survive. The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Turner took the pot to send his opponent to the payout desk.

Jacobson Flushes Shack-Harris

Nível 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

All the chips were in, the cards were on their backs, and the dealer had just put the turn out on the {Q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{8-Spades} board when we got to the table. Martin Jacobson held {J-Spades}{2-Spades} for a turned flush and Brandon Shack-Harris was showing {K-}{K-}. Although a {K-} fell on the river to give Shack-Harris a set, it wasn't enough, and Jacobson took the pot to double up.

Zack Blunts the Blades

Nível 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Dan Zack pushed his last 59,000 from the hijack with {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and a player in the big blind found {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} to make an easy call. Zack was, however, able to deliver a much needed bad beat as the board rolled out {5-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

Elky Gets There

Nível 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Bertrand Grospellier
Bertrand Grospellier

A player in early position raised to 18,000, Bertrand Grospellier three-bet the button to 52,000, the original raiser jammed for about 190,000, and Grospellier called to put his opponent at risk.

Bertrand Grospellier: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

Grospellier found himself behind with the weaker ace but all that changed when the flop fell {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts} to give him trips. The {7-Diamonds} turn gave him a lock on the pot and he took the chips (and the probable lead) after the {5-Hearts} hit the river.
